Does anyone know if the Octavia vRS230 has been discontinued ?

I enquired about a new one today and found they are only available from stock and not taking new orders.

There's one on the forecourt at Listers Coventry. I saw it yesterday (Thur's). They do look good.

I believe this is due to engine changes and potentially emissions regulations coming into force sometime this year.  The engines will develop slightly less power to lower emissions.  There are a few nearly new second hand examples around I have my eye on a few myself!

Simples.

They will fit Gasoline Particulate Filters to Octavia Engines & have new engine management and then get Real World Test Results for the different engine outputs 

and then start offering vRS models again.  But they need to do that or they can not sell them after September 2018.

No one seems to know when orders reopen, might be few days, might be 3 or 4 months time

 

Could then take another 2-5 months for delivery.

 

Realistically for orders to your chosen spec, will be cars fitted with new gasoline particulate filter, probably looking at delivery sometime between July and November.  

 

If you want earlier delivery probably going to have to find one already in a showroom or the deminishing stock of already built ones
