    She's arrived!

  • In an interesting turn of events, I now no longer have an SE L on order, but have a lovely new Scout ready to pick up on 1st Sept, so reading this thread with interest!

  • Good choice.    I have picked up our scout plate January. We test drove the kodiaq during the dealer VIP event but the demo was a 1.4tsi sel auto, it drove well but felt slightly under power

Was your last car a Chevy Camaro?

How dare you :D:D

Have you any photos of the interior Silver? What’s the trim finish on the dash, looks like a grained wood in the mock up. Are the seats Alcantara and are the headrests adjustable?

Sorry for all the questions  but might fancy one of these in a year or two!

Don't have any pictures of mine to hand, but the dash and panels on the doors have a faux wood grain effect, i really wasn't sure about that when i saw it on the net and even when i first saw it in the car but its grown on me. seats are Alacantra and headrests are adjustable.

Thanks. Alcantara is my favourite seat covering but I found the fixed position of the headrests in the Superb Sportline too far back. This has best of both worlds.

I've noticed several pictues of new Kodiaqs feature a cuddly toy bear. Are all Kodiaqs supposed to come with one ? I didnt get one!

  • Author

The KODI bear is at the discretion of the dealer. We had to ask for ours!

We also got a couple of Kodiaq books for the kids...

@tonashp, do you have the factory towbar fitted?

If not then the towbar makes no difference to the spec of the battery fitted at the factory...

These are the snaps the dealer took for me before I bought mine. Those running boards would have been nice tbf.

Hi silver,

no our car doesn't have a tow bar fitted.

I would assume the 2.0 would have a slightly larger battery, due to engine size.

Just seen pictures of the new Karoq Scout.

Not loving the brown seats, but do like the aluminium coloured strip on the lower door panels...

Exactly what you get, an aluminium look.  At least it will be easy to touch up.  Style over functionality.

Nice looking Ateca there, does it have some sort of sports pack fitted, I like the fully colour-coded look, and that rear spoiler looks larger than normal?

The gloss black plastic on the grills is a nice change compared with Skoda's usual textured mat black plastic.

Sounds like the Karoq SportLine is on the way too...

From a distance I still struggle sometimes to differentiate the Karoq from the Kodiaq, for me the SportLine makes it even harder!

I know which is the better looking though :D

Have a look in General Car Chat and Car Reviews, there is a good Review by the Briskoda member in NZ on the SEAT Ateca FR in the same Red with Silver trim.

Finally got round to test fitting the roof bars and box. Fits perfect.

Used these on our previous MkII and MkIII Octavia so been lucky in not having to buy new roof bars or feet for the last three cars.

Thule Rapid System Foot Pack - 757

Thule WingBar - 961

Hapro Traxer 8.6 Brilliant Black Roof Box
