from which material the bonnet is made on Octavia 3? I have little spots of removed color on it. Do I have to worry about rust?

 

It steel, probably galvanised....though not certain on that. I had a MK2 from new for seven years with stone chips I just never got round to touching in and no rust developed. Best advice is to get some paint back on however.

It's steel. My Octy has a big chip on the leading edge of the bonnet right on a crease by the passenger headlight which has festered and now corroded. Need to sort that one out!!

I was thinking of applying touch up paint. Will this suffice?

Yeah, 2000 grit the chip, whack some cheap carnauba wax on the surrounding paint, use some rubbing alcohol on a toothpick to clean out the chip, fill it full of touch up, heat the area with a hairdryer, then polish over. Repeat until the chip is full and the paint is level
