I got an O2 wifi hotspot with 12 Gb data for £54 if you want to use it. Connects straight away and stops my wife shouting at me.

Please can I also borrow this thing that stops my wife shouting at me?  £54 is a bargain, even if that's per month :notme:

That won't happen as the BCM will turn off the power to the 12V socket if it detects the battery charge state is getting low.

You, Sir, are a legend! I will go an move it to the boot now!

I've a feeling i will have to buy a decent/expense 12v-USB adapter as the griffin one I have interferes with the DAB signal, but thats fine.

Eco got to 52 at one point but the whole trip was that.

What kind of journey/roads was that?

Got to be all downhill!

Congrats Russ thought it would be a while before someone beat my 49.4MPG but you smashed it. Like you I did see over 50MPG at one stage but last 3 miles to work lots of roundabouts.

I hang my head in shame, mpg analysis in a 245 thread

Just demonstrates what a brilliant allrounder the 245 is whether you want to have a blast on a B road or the boring commute to work. I probably do 75% of my mileage on the motorway so grateful of the easy 40 plus mpg possible.

I’ll explain, I had just finished a 100km mtb race (bike goes straight in the back of the hatch.)  so after racing for 5+ hours I was In no state to push on (nor was the traffic conducive.)  so stuck it in eco with lane assist on and cruised home.  Don’t worry normal service is now resumed.

Has anyone had an issue with the Sat nav?

Driving up major A road in my area. Told me to pull off at a junction then half a mile down the road do a U turn and back onto the A road.

Anyone had this issue?

I had an odd one with mine the other day. I was on a dual carriageway and it asked me to turn right where there wasn't a turn.

I'm going to use it a bit more locally to learn it's quirks, such know what to expect when I really need it.

Yeah back in March heading south on M1 told me to turn off onto A road. Thought must be hold up on motorway so turned off only to end up in small village middle of nowhere sat at temporary traffic lights for ten minutes. Finally directed back towards motorway then nav tells me to head into Milton Keynes , but ignored it and got back onto M1. Lesson learned there are times when humans know better than a silly computer.

I had mine delivered to me from the dealer and it was a bit disappointing. The car was filthy, covered in dust where it looks like it had been sitting on gravel for a while. Opening the boot and the door was covered in dirt, the plastic around the seat have mud on as does the carpet around the pedals. I took my family for a quick drive and we noticed the nav SD card is missing. Then we got a call from the kid who delivered it telling me they hadn't filled out the delivery papers. None of the checks had been completed etc. Bit of a mess really!

Car feels nice though, a lot more responsive than the diesel Passat I had before. I put it in sport mode and floored it from about 30mph and it gathers pace so quickly. The noise is great too, has a real growl. My 2 year old daughter asked me to keep doing it haha.

That’s such a shame they ruined the collection for you. Hopefully they’ll put it right and get it sorted.

That's why I always deal with one Skoda dealer, first name terms with all the staff, including dealer principal and I never have any issues from ordering to servicing, just excellent service every time. A cheap deal is not always a good one as NO AIM already stated.

Yeah, that was what swung it around for me as I nearly went with an online broker, but felt better going through main dealer who pretty much matched the deal and despite the wait did look after me. I’m guessing you went through the one in Leicester? I test drove a 245 with them, but I ended ordering closer to home. Seemed like a good bunch though.

Not sure if this is the thread for this question or not but hey! This is my first properly quick car (to me anyway!), what’s the best way of building confidence for driving quickly but safely, getting to know how quickly to take corners and so on?

This was exactly my thinking as the dealer price matched NVS at the time. They even charged me the admin fee which was a bit of a cheek. The girl who sold me the car was brilliant but service has dropped after she left.

I didn’t hear from anyone at the dealership after the day I placed the order. A complete shambles all round really.

Yeah did you drive their Meteor Grey demo? Don't know who bought in the end. It was up for a good price last time I checked.
