 Though not new to Octavias I am new here and this is a very interesting forum.

 

Just got a nearly new 2017 SE L which is a great car (1.4 TSI) and have been spending a lot of time playing wth the Amundsen Infotainment.

Takes a lot of setting up but all on-line (via the phone), bluetoothed and Android Auto'd up, on-line destinations in ... POIS proving interesting!

 

The trouble is that the screen is now a fingerprint nightmare and though I have cleaned it with my specsavers kit I'm wondering if anyone has any really good fingerprint removing and shine restoring tips?

i used some glass cleaner and microfibre towel to clean mine then i bought a screen protector off eBay for £8 and its amazing.

50/50 white vinegar/water on a tissue ,wipe off with damp tissue

I use a product called Whoosh - Available from Apple and/or Amazon and it is really, really effective and totally safe

i bought some LCD cleaner from Curry's for the smart TV and i don't know if its just a placebo effect but its always seemed to clean any type of screen easier. Its lasted a long time and was around £3/4.  You can also buy it from Amazon etc.

Wash hands occasionally?
