Correct Seat Memory on Profile Switch Issue

Featured Replies

Since having car in February 2018, we had 3 times issue where seat memory gets lost or confuses it between profiles, we have 2 profiles, each assigned to its key with distinctive preferences setup.

Issue happened 3 times as follows:

1st time, i went into the car with my key assigned to my car profile, it all loaded and recognised myself (all my setting and amabient lighting) but seat stayed adjusted as if it was still my wife's profile, i had to reconfigure the seat

2nd time, she went into car and it now happened to her, seat adjustment was as if it was myself in the car

3rd time, me again, same as 1st time described but with one difference it was still wrong but the seat did adjust to position that none of us use.

All above occurrences we tried to switch back to each other's profile and set back to ours to see if its temporary glitch but it doesn't return to the correct seat adjustment.

PS: We have optional 'Driver personalisation' with 3 keys

Not sure if anyone using the car same way has found such issue?

I'm having the same issues and was unsure if I was doing something wrong or it was the tech misbehaving.

Kitten and I spent about an hour yesterday reseting everything and starting from scratch, we have since tried.

Me inside with my key and phone while Kitten unlocks and takes drivers seat

Mirrors seem to remember but not the Columbus or leccy seats

We still need to press '1' or '2' on the memory seat depending who's driving and that seems pointless if we have paid for key personalisation.

Failing this it's a trip back to the dealer to help us.  (I'm glad I bought the car locally now haha.)

Spent about an hour yesterday faffing about setting this all up and nothing seemed to work.

We have just spent another 45 mins setting everything back up again after deleting all user profiles and.......you guessed it, mirrors didn't adjust and chair didn't adjust with presets on the radio not being saved.

Driver key personalisation option is a WASTE OF MONEY.

Visiting the dealer tomorrow and they can look at it.

Call from Skoda Care was never returned, maybe they should rename it Skoda Doesn't Care

Vadim, when you got your 3 keys with the key personalisation feature, were all your keys the same, or did 1 key look fancy with extra chrome on it??

Tried all that, even reset all settings and started from scratch.

Have got it working now but thats only due to trial and error.

Once you have set up your particular profiles under CAR-MENU-PERSONALISATION

you will see your individual profiles......

Change the KEY ASSIGNMENT from AUTO to MANUAL

and a bit further down there will be an option to ASSIGN VEHICLE KEY TO CURRENT USER ACCOUNT

Click on it then click on ASSIGN when the pop up box appears

It will ask you to press the UNLOCK button on the appropriate key and after a few seconds it will say THIS VEHICLE KEY HAS BEEN ASSIGNED TO THE CURRENT USER ACCOUNT.

And thats basically it.

Footnote: your radio presets do take a little longer to come through but they ARE saved.

The manual does NOT tell you this, and I don't think Skoda Care know either haha as they have failed to call me back to date....................in any case I'm NOT going to tell them, that's THEIR job

You just have...

Yes, anybody still having issues??

I take it you don’t have both the keys close to the car when you unlock etc?

No we retire into the house and wrap keys in tin foil haha.

with Driver personalisation does that mean each profile can have 3 memory seat presents ?

No, each driver has 1 preset, so you have 3 in total.

I've now done a 'walkthrough' on how to set up driver profiles and key allocations, and it's for sale at £4.99 (payment via PayPal.)       :D
