Upgrading Monte Carlo 1.2TSI

Featured Replies

Hi Folks, my wife has a nice looking 1.2 TSI Monte Carlo, 14 plate, white with all the back trimmings, grill and roof.

anyone know the cost of getting a stage 1 remap and what the improvement would be? Is the 105bhp 1.2 TSI. And would she have to upgrade anything else or is it a simple remap cost?

also is it possible to fit a touchscreen 6.5 or 8” screen with Bluetooth and a USB port?

also any suggestions on how to

make the ride comfier... can you get replacement seats which are both sporty and comfy?  And what’s the cost

Sorry for all the questions but  wondering whether we should upgrade her Fabia or sell and buy a MK3 which we can’t really afford :crying:

Stage 1 map cost depends on who is doing it. 130 ps easily achieved.

Or a tuning box from TMC or Bluespark will be another option.

Keep seeing reference to Shark on some of the Octy forums.  Would they also remap the 1.2TSI?

Also just read the APR site and they are saying avstage 1 would only increase to 129 bhp with RON 95.. anyone done this and was the increase really noticeable... is smaller than I was hoping

Probably, that is how they make a living, ask them.

I have a Racechip Ultimate tuning box for sale on this forum. Gives an approx 25bhp and 50nm torque increase. Worth it IMO, definitely a noticeable difference.
