Crikey, that's more than a bit forensic!!!   A couple of months ago my car was cased at 4 oclock in the morning, by a young scummer on a bike, riding up to my car and calling someone to disc

I've worked out where BMW have got their inspiration from, for the new M4 grill

That is an interesting stance, undercarriage and tyre choice.

Seat back height just pure dead brilliant. Maybe hydraulic lifting once you slip into the seats. Seats lift, or body lowers.

Excuse me while I go and throw up...

Just what are BMW playing at with their design at the moment - the new front ends are truly hideous and, regardless of how they drive, I could never bring myself to have one on my drive - I'd be truly embarrassed by it every time I set eyes on it and would have to drive it with a paper bag on my head just so people didn't know it was me...

It's for really tall people who don't mind whiplash

I can see traits of his other cars in it. Especially the hexagonal theme. I think he did that on the rear of the beautiful Lamborghini Marzal. Mind you it's not up to his usual lovely design, at least to look at (may have been a brilliant car).

As for the next gen M3/4 I have come to quite like the design, but it is ruined by sticking the number plate across the grill. If you are going bold you should at celebrate the fact, not stick a white moustached across it.  Also they seem to have dropped the Hofmeister kink  :crying:

So here's an interesting thing I found. It's a concept BMW designed by Mr Gandini (he might regret this one). What I found of interest was the weird grills. Reminds me of something......

Nosferatu Special. I'd buy one for the name alone.

If kept the road clear ahead of me I'd be right with you.

A lot of Brisky folk think Beemer drivers are a pain in the neck anyway, so nothing to lose

BMW 4 Series drivers must be better than 3 Series drivers judging by what I witnessed on the M1 yesterday as the following coupe driver was 3 feet from the rear bumper of the saloon in front ..........at 90mph. Seems to be a problem for most impatient BMW drivers I see every day on my commute. I think it used to be called tailgating but now it's just normal behaviour for those with the blue/white badge on the bonnet.:notme:

its audi drivers and kia sorento owners for me lately..

I think Audi drivers were named the number 1 b3ll3nd by Top Gear and I see no reason to argue.

Nearly got taken out by a Skoda in the rain this afternoon, driven at extraordinary speed...true story...honest...

I don't think tailgaiting and general sh|#y driving is restricted to any marque now.

If I was to point a finger it would be at the Landrover/Range Rover set, the bigger the model the worse the driving.

But  then recently I've had a selection of Corsa's, Audis, Range Rovers, Pickups and even a campervan up my chuff, usually on 60mph single carriageway roads.

I think most of us agree with you. But, hey, you know, some people eh :D

Btw I just watched a police show on telly and the first baddie was a Skoda driver who failed to stop, had no insurance and was massively over the limit. Shocking 🙄

I'll agree with you there - had some eejit in a Volvo SUV cut me up on the M62 over the last weekend - he seemed to be oblivious to the fact that the outside (overtaking) lane he was in was ending and, despite his speed difference being only a tiny bit faster than me he was determined to get past and used nearly the whole of the chevroned area to try and get past me before cutting in and nearly taking my bonnet off.  I can only assume he had the 'cruise control' set and was oblivious to the world around him...   butIf he'd waited a few seconds I'd have been past the queue I was overtaking and would have pulled in for him to go past.

I dunno if being in such a colossal motor makes the driver feel invincible.

I suspect SUV tailgaiting is in part down to the height of the cars, people just don't see how close they are to the car in front but it's the difference between too close and stupidly close, not the 2sec rule.

I'd suspect it's the "bus driver syndrome", aka I'm bigger than you- get outa my way. I personally wait for a bit of tight road after a roundabout, where the SUV /driver has problems with curves and Furby has none. They don't like it done to them.

Happened again tonight BMW 1 speeding in the 3rd lane was being chased by BMW 2 who was going so fast they had to brake hard to avoid hitting the first BMW. If anyone has to brake whilst driving on a not very busy motorway they are clearly driving too fast and second a complete idiot.

The attitude type of so many your posts like this in so many threads is really getting boring now.

I just got cut up by a Škoda. It was definitely a Škoda driven by a really bad man Škoda driver, honest, he was the worst ever and then I got cut up by a Škoda bicycle and she was the worst ever cyclist I've ever seen and then I had a Škoda burger which was horrible as Škoda burgers are the worst. Also I misspelt Skoda as it's just plain crazy and the worst word ever to spell, unlike BMW which is easy

Luckily I believe every word said by SHY and know he is always telling the truth, like when he gave his word he was going to join Freedom.....but didn't (not his fault as  BMW driver cut him up and put him off) and then he made this big announcement that he would only be posting in two threads, but unfortunate didn't keep to that one either (it was BMW driver who told him to ignore his own postings and so it is not his fault)

I am sorry that BMW drivers seem to hate you in particular and can only sympathise for your plight. Perhaps they don't like hyper-milers who try to eek mega miles out of every gallon and so they think they are following octogenarians.

Anyhoo as a thread about M4s and not car bigotry, I would like to say that my BMW with its legal, but well worn tyres is epic to drive at the moment. BIG BIG fun. Having done very little driving through lock-down, you get that new car sensation when you get back inside and find out that the control weights, cornering attitude and acceleration are all a bit like a new thing. In fact "this month, I am mainly going to be doing acceleration"

Came across this today. The old girl did quite well in these meaningless tests, although it does show the difference between a quick DCT and a slushmatic, as the M4 did really well against the Alfa even though this model had a 70+bhp deficit. Maybe Germans have bigger horses than the Italians? (don't say that to Ferrari). It also shows how tricky it can be to launch a RWD car against a 4x4 like a quattro although in the rolling road test the advantage goes back to the lighter more efficient RWD cars obviously. I've seen plenty of these tests and it's the first time I haven't seen the BMW destroy its tyres while the others have a drag race :D The Alfa does sound lovely though :envy: :inlove:
