If the car has air conditioning, there are two relays (one for low speed fan operation, the other for full speed) inside a control module under the left chassis leg, just next to the power steering pump.

If you don't have A/C the fan is powered directly through the radiator thermoswitch, no relays.

Does the car have air conditioning or not?

Yes , have.

If you disconnect the small 6-way connector from the fan control module pictured above, and the fan keeps running even then, the fault must be within the module (a relay with its contacts self-welded).

The module is not easily repaired, so I would replace it.

If the fan stops when you disconnect the small connector, the problem may be a wiring fault/short which is making the module incorrectly 'believe' it needs to run the fan, or the radiator thermoswitch.

I will try to find some time tomorrow to look at circuit information for you. :)

Hi Wino, how do one remove this radiator control module for replacement?

Undo the two bolts which hold the fixing bracket to the chassis leg. Unplug the two electrical connectors first.

I will figure out the problem today & resolve using all the good information you have provided.
