Can I put adjustable driver seat into the passenger side?

Could swap the driver and passenger seat around to see if it'll work? 

Thanks - Was hoping not to be the first to try! Will look for a mechanic willing to give it  a  go.

 

Lever will be on the wrong side. Also not sure if you can swap the seat belts onto the correct side

Hadn't thought of the belts

 

I think i remember there being locating tabs/pins for the seats, but i think that one side of the seat rail is smaller than the other. not quite sure though.

Thanks everyone. I had thought about French breakers (have trawled the internet...... its how I ended up here!)

 

Google is not very good about searching things not in USA or UK!  Might need some french words to get it going.... and not sure I trust Google Translate.....

I had thought about seatbelts. Was hoping the stalk was fixed and wired to floor rather than the chair (and then wondered why its not done this way!)

 

Will stick my head down there tommorrow to check, but having removed many Renault Espace seats they were definitely attached to the chair in that car.

They are bolted to the seats. I don't think there is a mounting point on the other side of the seat rails to attach it to. Why do you even want an adjustable passenger seat? 

You will need to check the (shoulder mounted) airbag location if you swap the seats around.
