vRS non OEM mud flaps.

Featured Replies

Hi everyone,

I’ve had a quick search and couldn’t find anything, but does anyone know where I can get a set of decent mud flaps for a vRS that aren’t the OEM. I want some that look good. I used to have a set of Rally flapz on  Monte Carlo Fabia, but can’t seem to find anything for the Octavia.

Thanks!

Looks good is obviously opinion. Rally Flapz to me look terrible. OEM look best.

the OEM are easily the best looking flaps ive seen, a nice fit and not too intrusive, definitely do the job and keep the sling and tar off the lower rear panel, and wont scrape on a -40mm lowered vehicle.

Easy to fit? Just picked up a new VRS myself and was surprised there are no mud flaps even at the rear. Would I be right in thinking one has to drill a few holes into the body work to fit them?

Very easy. No drilling required.

I was about to ask the same, I think the instructions say there are 2 existing screw holes and you need to drill one extra.... I assume you don't NEED to do the last one?

You assume correct. You can drill an extra hole is you want to but it’s not needed. Perfectly secure without. The last screw would basically be belt and braces.

Indeed, I checked there first and the ordered from SuperSkoda - with postage for both front and rear was £33.50 :)

Ordered myself a set for my Octavia from eBay yesterday, looking forward to getting them fitted and protecting the rear bumper as you mentioned!

Thanks

I see you have the side skirts on that, have you got the splitter and defuser? Also I’ll conced on the mudflaps, they look decent on yours! I’ll get some ordered, a white car is not fun when it rains again....

That’s the thing with cars, it’s all opinion, I had a Monte Carlo with them on and I though they looked pretty good!

If you look really closely at my car the paint around the mudflaps is all gone as it has worn away over nearly 90k miles so it’s now really obvious as the mudflaps show it up almost. Mudflaps from new is the answer!!

I ordered a full set of mud flaps last night, hopefully be here soon!

Well super service from super Skoda, mine arrived today! And are now fitted to the car

Really easy to fit, the fronts are two screws and to be honest on the inside bit I can see why they need 3. Hoping it doesn't rattle...if they do (I doubt they will) then I will either tape it or put the screw in!

The rears where tight but still easy, as I have a diesel on the side with no exaust you can use all three fixings, the inside one is already there with a push fit screw... Just pulled mine out and then fitted the flap and pushed it in!

The side with the exhaust they supply a small metal bracket so you can screw all three in.

Job done......no pics as they are mud flaps :D

Oh and for the rears you really do need a right angle screw driver!

I ordered mine from this Irish place almost 3yrs ago, just had a look and they’re still cheaper than eBay or super Skoda.

It only takes a minute with a right-angle screwdriver, much quicker than jacking the car up and taking the wheel off
