Auto dimming rear view mirrow

Featured Replies

Hi, I hope I can get some advice please. I’ve recently purchased a 4x4 Octavia estate 2010. I have the auto dimming rear view mirrors. The only thing I’m finding is they aren’t working very well. If I cover the sensor they dim but it has to be really dark for it to work. Is this normal as cars a so bright in my rear view mirror during twilight hours. Also, I’m considering remapping the car as it only has 100bhp and seems to rev high compared to my Leon Fr. I know they aren’t the same but it just needs a little more poke. Thanks.

My Auto dim mirror will not dim fully in twilight. Very effective after dark.

as above ---- needs to be dark for it to work effectivley
