Any foot well top cover/panel at driver side in a brand new superb

Featured Replies

Dear All,

I received my beautiful superb today. I realized there isn't any driver side foot well top cover. I can see all the wiring, u-joint under the steering column. Is this common?

Regards

This is taken from driver foot well. Passenger foot well has a cover. Is this normal?

No. There should be a plastic plate extending across from the light. At least that’s the case in my Superb manufactured in Czech Republic. Superbs are also built in China so may be produced to a different standard for the East Asia market.

I would suggest you visit a dealer and check any Superb III in the showroom and not just take the word of the dealer if they say “No they don’t come with it.”

Looks to be the same as mine.

Looking directly up from the footwell you can see the panel I mentioned in my previous post, extending from the light all the way across. This appears to be absent in OP’s photo. [Braided cable is add-on throttle response controller]

Hi, thank you all for helping. I am from Singapore. Volkswagen Singapore now has direct dealership with Skoda this year. I was told they only bring in Skoda units from Czech. I went back to the showroom, they told there isn't any cover for my car but only L&K has this cover.

How can I check where my unit is from?

How can I check what other accessories my unit comes with? My unit doesn't comes with net. I thought the net is basic assessories. No?

Regards

Each country's importer makes its own arrangements as to what extras are included/excluded for each model in the range. A UK Superb L&K differs to a Rep. of Ireland L&K which differs to a German L&K, and so on.

Back in 2015 when I bought my L&K the  'net program' was included as part of the UK L&K specification and a £55 option for others.

There should be a sticker under the boot carpet that lists the 3-character codes for the accessories that were factory fitted and the same sticker should be inside a small warranty booklet that would/should have come with the car.

The sticker looks like this...

The pdf on this site should tell you what the codes represent.

The first two letters of your VIN are the manufacturing country identifier. TJ to TP is Czech Republic. (L- is China)

Thank you for the valuable info. Unfortunately I could not find the sticker on the car. Anyway to retrieve info from Skoda Czech using VIN numbers?

I don’t know the answer to that. I would imagine a SKODA dealership should be able to answer that as all the info is on the Skoda servers.

Personally I would have thought that type of cover would have been present in all models and certainly not just on the L&K as it is purely a cover hiding what it does.

this is what mine looks like - Oz spec'ed Superb 220...…

Oh mine does have that black panel across from the LED and OBD port.

Is it the knee airbag?
