Will need diagnostic tools to pair them.

i've got the virtual pedal, so i might b able to tap into that.

thanks :)

I just looked at the wiring diagram, power to the virtual pedal module is controlled by the J965 Interface for entry and start system so it might not be the best place to tap off Terminal 30 power.  It may or may not work.

Some one posted previously that there was ariels in the wheel arches  which is how it knew what wheels were where... but I do not see that in the  info in this thread..

Audi uses this version - it has antennaes in each of wheelarch areas.

they r slighty different modules.

Just at a dealer with my daughter - getting a slightly used Karoq SEL and had a look at the 2020 MY Kodiaq Scout in the showroom....  no TPMS sensors on the wheels on the Scout.... I thought all model year 2020 were getting the TPMS sensors at the wheel... dealer had no idea.

My My20 edition doesn't have it

None of the Skoda models come with direct TPMS - they will however have indirect TPMS.

Indirect TPMS uses the ABS wheel sensors to detect inflation.

Direct TPMS uses sensors inside each wheel, and a module.

.....hence the retrofit.

Direct TPMS is now available as an option - PR code 7K3.

Thanks

There is no option on the UK configurator for this... but I am sure some where on here I read that 2020 MY had the Direct system...

Well I guess I either read incorrectly or?

So probably fitted the sensors for no reason...  oh well .....

It'll be market dependant on whether they're available or not. I doubt it would be a standard fit affair.

Interesting is, that Russian made Kodiaqs had the TPMS since the very beginning (according to one forum member).

All Kodiaq's have TPMS, it is the move from indirect to direct that is new.

Are you suggesting the Russian Kodiaq's have had direct TPMS from 2017?

Yes, direct TPMS. One russian forum member mentioned it here a while ago.

But they don`t have RS :)

Russian Kodiaq's are locally produced, so seems plausible to me.

Yes, they are.

But you cannot really call it producing. More like gathering from parts. Due to taxation.

Wouldn't bother if I were you, I've just traded in a 3 year old Subaru Forester for a 1 yr old Kodiaq. The Scooby TPMS was nothing but trouble, it uses sensors fitted in the rims & every 6 months or so, I had to get the valve inserts & sender battery changed, a Schrader special according to my garage. There were 3 different TPMS settings for different tyre pressures according to varying loads & if you reset the one according to the pressures in use, fine, but if you accidentally reset any of the others, you couldn't rectify that yourself, the dealer had to do it, or someone with the right kit.

After 7 years of Yeti ownership, never had any problems, unless there actually was a loss of pressure.

Installing bumpers to a car is hardly producing. That`s what lots of car producers do in Russia. Reason is extremely high import taxes for passanger cars. Importing car with detached bumpers and few more details makes it way cheaper in customs clarification. Example: BMW.

Ford`s first factory in Russia joined just drivetrain to body - again producing.

Don`t know about Skoda though.

I used to work for a mini computer company that had an assembly plant in Ireland. I once had to wade through the parts list of a certain computer and the only Irish part was the made in Ireland sticker 😊

Skoda has a factory in Russia, that produces/assembles Skodas for their local market only.  No export to other markets.
Skoda also has a factory in India, that produces/assembles Skodas for their local market only.  No export to other markets.

Skoda also has a factory in China, that produces/assembles Skodas for their local market only.  No export to other markets.

The Rest of the World (RoW) markets get their Skodas from CZ.

Not strictly correct, there are other Skoda factories as well, for instance producing Kodiaqs in Ukraine and Kazakhstan - see:

Off topic, but then the thread is already OT.

The EU / US and others Sanctions against imports to Russia over the Ukraine.

Food and other products.

Just not cars and car parts.

Can't go hitting the top countries in the EU's or NATO's top manufacturers... Can't hit the economy of those countries, just to hit Russia's.
