MY2019 Octavia vRS 245 incoming..

Featured Replies

Hello all, joined up and returning to VAG Group ownership after an 8 year break, just put my order in for a MY2019 Octavia 245 vRS dsg in Red. This is the new standard vRS thanks to WLTP with Skoda/VW Group replacing the 230 TSI engine permanently. This new model vRS isn't even mentioned on the Skoda website yet as the WLTP emissions figures are yet to be released. Car is due to be built now or very soon and looking like early Nov delivery. Owned a MK1 Seat Leon Cupra for 7 years from new and was an active member on seatcupra.net previously so knew of this excellent forum from back then.

Looking forward to getting my new car and finding out more from everyone on here about it. Cheers Simon

A warm welcome to the Forum !

Well this Nov I was told, and the delay was only due to WLTP stuff. Basically this is a car already having a slot on the production line. Its via a specialist VAG Group broker with the inside knowledge I can only hope to believe what they're saying. He told me he had 10 in almost standard spec being built like I'm going for.  Its a build for VWFS i.e. PCH

Welcome to Briskoda

Bit different to your 245 but my Pre FL 230 came 6 months after I ordered it............................ Ordered 3 months before I got a build week then it took another 3 months

Madness.

All cars ordered will get build, but when done they will be banked until  WLTP approved.

Broker told me my car allocated, it's built already and in transit from the factory. He's worried now if I can take it earlier than predicted.. No issue I'll take it tomorrow if I can have it lol WLTP will delay me getting it I know already.

I'm slightly surprised that a VAG Group specialist with inside information has the Information  on builds etc when even Skoda don't know whats happening with orders............................

Lets see.. the car was already being built for what seems a bunch of MY19 VWFS (Skoda Finance) orders guessing these are some of the first off the list. My order is as I understand it essentially taking the build slot of a car already in the pipeline - this of course is different to walking into a dealer and placing a new order. I took the car based off a pre-defined spec otherwise I'd be waiting into next year i.e. as you experienced. I was told this when I questioned about changing options, ok thats a new factory order so you'll get it sometime in Q1 2019 which I declined.

As I said above I was told yesterday I've been allocated/secured one to my agreed spec that has been built as is being shipped from the Factory now - I have no reason not to believe this - no car no money its as simple as that, I've signed a piece of paper to say I'll PCH it for 24months I've put no money down :)
