Swapping VRS for VRS

Featured Replies

So I have had my white manual diesel for coming up a year. I've done 42k in it and it's time for a change. I called lee at garland Skoda Aldershot and he sorted me a deal too good to refuse!imageproxy.php?img=&key=66c1d7df650950daimageproxy.php?img=&key=66c1d7df650950da

Velvet red vrs, diesel again. DSG, canton, led package, black pack plus, heated seats!!

Can't wait to get it!!!

Might need some VCDS mods doing. Any suggestions?

“Eye lash” LEDs as DRLs. I also did rear lights as DRLs as well.

Great colour, Velvet Red.

Like it!

Be good to see a photo of the eyelash compared to standard.

Traffic sign recognition? I didn't have it enabled on my current one, been told it doesn't work very well?

Mine works great, picks up variable speed limits on motorways even gets the repeaters (small speed signs) & really highlights new speed limits.

Had quite a few new 50's appear from previous NSL around our way in the last month or two, they're the ones that get you 3 points, roads you use all the time.

+1 works great even on my older MIB1 car. There's one sign near home that often reads 90 instead of 50 but 95% of the time it reads correctly and is very useful.

What is eye lash?

The whiskers in the bottom of the lights that come on as sidelights can be set to be permanently on with DRL.

TSR will fuse with map data on the MIB2 Amundsen and give a mostly accurate reading so I’d say you’d be onto a winner coding that one in as well as HBA, fan speed lights in auto climate, cornering fogs etc :)

Brilliant. Thanks Sasha

Ok sounds good, who is local to Nottingham with the power to do the mods? I spoke to @WayTooTall as he did them for me last time but hasn't got the updated cable

I just hate cornering fogs, am I on my own?

Nope. It's not for me either.

I like them especially on windy narrow Devon lanes, but they confuse my brother who keeps telling me I've got a bulb blown when he only sees 1 fog light on!

I really like them but they aren’t for everyone I understand. I think they are helpful on unlit roads and I really see the benefit at night as the extra light is clearly visible.

If you need the extra light put Fogs on.

Mk3 Fogs done even look like Fogs. Bugger the distraction of left on right off right on left off.

I get your point, but why pull the switch when the car can do it itself? Same can be said for setting the fogs to come on with the high beam which is also a cool trick on the Mk3 :)

I coded the fog lights on with high beam (for no other reason than just because). Actualy more useful than I was expecting.

I’ve done the same, it’s actually really useful but the yellow tinge from the fog lights looks bad next to the crisp xenons so I want to see how the LED’s look next to them and if I’m happy I’ll leave it, if not I’ll turn them off when it starts to get light again next year :)

I wouldn’t know, seeing as I’m rocking a full LED front end B)

Give it a few days and I will be too B)
