Overhead white LEDs

Featured Replies

Does anyone know if it is possible to deactivate the two white LEDs next to the overhead light switches in the front of the cabin? These can be quite bright and a bit distracting when driving at night...

Not possible as far as I'm aware either through infotainment or coding. Stick some blu tack over them or something if it bothers you.

Yeah that was going to be my fallback. Cheers.

Use a credit card to pop the surrounding cover off and then put some gaffer tape over the LEDs. Replace cover, job done.

yeah that what i did, i found them so distracting when driving at night.

I actually like them..

You can alter the brightness in the amundsen on my car.  Think it comes under ambient lighting?  Havent looked at it for a long time but I think I remember the setting being under the lighting setting of the options.

There are a few people reporting this but I can't say I've ever noticed it.

Been several threads about this. I didn't even notice mine were there.

The panel lighting levels can be adjusted, mine are set pretty low and the interior lighting is unobtrusive.

Why did they fit white and not the usual red?  Surely red would be better for night time driving.

Yeah go into Car-> Setup-> Light(s)

Under Interior Lights you can adjust the brightness of the Instrument/Display Lights down to Min but this dims the radio button lights and dash lights as well. Have a look and see if it's set very high. Mine's set to 40%.
