Dear briskodians, forget the udder, here comes the ibitza cupra mod

the bush fits perfectly into the console, and it's full rubber and metal, not plastic and half rubber as the fabia one. The feeling after repacement is great. I was doing it by myself, so don't know the cost of replacement, the bushes costs about 20

Nice one. I know of another member running with this modification already so it'll be interesting to note any differances.

Love the inclusion of the hammer in the final picture - give's a good clue as to how the old ones were removed :P

Yes the console should come with the bush fitted as they quote it as being for the BPX engine.

It's the large aluminium item pictured above.

If you have the console off you need to have the wheel alignment done.

I however now have the tools to change the bushes in situ which makes it alot easier to be sure.

Note all the bolts should be replaced when doing this job.

Also if replacing the old bushes with std Fabia ones please note although they arent sided the orientation of the bush is different on the o/s to the n/s.

Can you please explain what "o/s to the n/s" means, as I'm not a native english speaker and I can't figure out what this means. Is old style / new style?

o/s = off side of the vehicle ,on right hand drive vehicles this is the side away from the kerb , n/s = nearside of the vehicle , nearest the kerb
