Yes the Cupra mod is a different bush.

Do I win a donut?

AFAIK, Powerflex do not make an uprated front wishbone rear bush.

ooooh, interesting ;)

Surely the Cupra is a Turbo.

Please refer to this mod. in future as the Cupra T mod. to avoid confusion :D

... I'll get my coat...

I've got PowerFlex front & rear bushes for the front wishbone(s) though :)

The bush neo posted can also be found on the FR's models I believe.

I still have no idea what the "udder mod" is actually called? I know it's the fits into front rear suspension bush.

Front wishbone rear bush?

So if one was to get hold of the front rear bushes of a pd160. How much labour would be involved? I take it the wishbone will have to be taken off along with suspension, old bush taken out, new bush put in. Would of thought if you bough it straight from seat you would buy a complete wishbone complete with bushes so it would be a straight wishbone swap?

I agree - probably worthwhile to obtain a complete wishbone (most likely around

I didn't think PowerFlex did the front wishbone rear bush? Just this udder/insert

It is just a udder/insert but they list it as front wishbone rear bush.

There is no reason to get a complete wishbone from seat since the front bush is identical to what we have. Only the rear bush is different. And yes you have to unmount the wishbone from the car to replace bushes, worth doing when the old ones are worn a bit.

As I said before the difference between the two bushes (rear ones from fabia and cupra) seem to be not more than 10%. Also that resembles in the price of the wishbone, 10% again on the full wishbone ;).

I hope that the cupra bushes will fit the normal wishbone. The complete wishbone (with bushes) has different code but the empty wishbone has the same code .. so it shoud be straight forward.

PS: I still don't get it: the picture posted before is taken from an Ibiza or a Fabia with ibiza's bushes.

I agree - probably worthwhile to obtain a complete wishbone most likely around

Isnt it cheaper and 99% as effective just to do add the udder/insert

The original issue with the Udder is that it has been known to fall out.

Yes.. thats the original point..

the only reason i want to totally replace my bushes is that ive done 63million miles and they are fooked.. udders help alot, but at the end of the day they aint gonna fix themselfs.. im pretty sure the reason mine fell out is because of the excessive wear and movement.

if the udders are put in early enough it will stop the wear on the bushes.. ergo no need to spend

Well if it prolongs the bushes life then it can't be bad.

Should get mine tuesday.

Surely the best thing to do is glue them in so there's no chance of them falling out?

You cant really glue them in as the bush assembly moves to much.

:iagree:

TBH I can't see them falling out of bushes that are in good condition.

Just check them every so often.

I'm sure they can be held in, they dont look like they can fall out on mine. It was hard enough to get the buggers in.

Try stcking 'em in with that Sikerflex stuff..........If you realy wanted ;)
