Columbus Map Update for 2019

Featured Replies

Has anyone done the radio station logos from the same location.?I put the logos folder on to the sd card but did not seem to make any difference. There was not a station logos folder on the card so nothing  to delete first. In the Karoq radio settings there is a “manage logos “ option but the only choice was to delete all logos. Not many of my stations have logos.

Just did the map thing on my 2019 Karoq.

Formatted the sd  card to fat32 that came with my car.Transferred the downloaded maps folder to it.

Inserted the card into the slot of the car, selected ,nav, settings, update and it took about 10 secs for the map to appear.

Checked the version and I have the 2019/2020 version.Well happy as I thought I would mess it up.

I imported the radio logos from a USB stick.

And put them onto the sd card?

I imported the logos one by one into the radio itself

I did not know you could do that.

Was it easy ?

Yes,worked first time. Just format the USB stick to Fat32 first, then put a folder of radio station icons on it.

I am afraid its not working for me.Inserted usb stick containing a folder of icons and went to “ manage stations logos” Then faced with a list which says.Usb,sdcard2 and one other option which I cannot remember. All greyed out and cannot go further. Also put the logo folder onto the same sd card as the nav. Update but still no luck.

Try putting my folder of DAB radio station icons on your card and see how you get on. Download from here then unzip the file to your USB card: https://we.tl/t-6lgOVTdd6u

No luck I am afraid.Cannot do anything after “ manage station logos”

Thanks for your help but it looks like it will not work for me.

It could be that the jpg format is not within the recommended size - depending on which infotainment unit you have check these instructions from the Karoq manual.

Also, if you've formatted the USB stick to MS-DOS Fat32 using a Mac, make sure there are no Mac-specific invisible files on there that will confuse the system. If using Mac I suggest downloading the free Mac application CleanMyMac 2 which will remove any unnecessary Mac-specific invisible files from the USB card. Run the app after you've put the icons on there, and place all the separate icon images directly onto the USB stick instead of popping them all into a folder and THEN popping the folder onto the stick. Try the latter suggestion anyway even if you used a Windows computer to format the stick. And name the formatted USB stick UNTITLED in capital letters. Good luck!

Thanks for this,I will try tomorrow.

I was surprised though how few stations I have.

Although I do live in West Devon.

National ones like Absolute,Virgin etc,Heart are not there.
