Headlight gone red / pink

Featured Replies

Hi,  surprised that I couldn’t find this on the Forum, but my OSF headlight has changed to a red/pink.  The brightness has not dropped, but is this just an indication of imminent failure?  Or is there a cure?

Superb 2.  2011

Thank you

I assume you have xenon headlights?

The change in colour to pink is called colour shift due to the amount of use.

I would recommend replacing both bulbs.

Yup, Xenon bulbs go this colour near end of life. Osram Cool Blue Intense (not actually blue) would be my recommendation for replacement.

Have you hit a deer recently?

Clean the blood off first... if the red/pink colouring remains, then start looking at replacement!! ;)
