Vibration from dash / engine bay

Featured Replies

Hi.

Has as anyone had a vibration from the dash area of the car around 1k and 2k on the Rev dial. This car is a 2016 2.0 tdi.

Its been into skoda 3 times now and they keep telling me it’s fixed. But I can still hear it. First visit some heating pipes were reseated. 2nd time a bracket and some metal plates on the n75 valve (whatever that is) were replaced. 3rd time the valve itself was replaced but still the issue persists.

Just wondered red if anyone had had this issue and got it fixed.

I would upload a video of the noise but this says I can only do it upto 10mb. So it won’t allow me. I’ll see if I can upload else where and put a link here.

Regards

adrian

this link should work.

I can definitely hear it from your video, doesn’t sound right to me. I’ve got severe OCD about rattles and have done insane things in the past to find them. Yours sounds quite muffled which suggests it could be coming from in front of the fire wall. Can you hear it outside at all?

I’ve not attempted to no. I’ve just been leaving it to the Skoda technicians. They keep suggesting it’s this n75 valve but given they’ve replaced plus the brackets it’s got to be elsewhere.

Hi. I started a thread over a year ago about a harshness from my 2.0tdi 150 dsg engine bay.

I took mine to west skoda where they spent weeks falsely diagnosing and returning me my car.

First they done up a loose undertray bolt and said it was that flapping and they claimed to have tested the car on the road and couldn't hear the noise anymore. When I returned it a week later they ripped out the dash to find nothing wrong. Finally it was diagnosed as a loose heatshield, which when repaired only reduced the noise rather than eliminated it all together.

The noise I experenced was more tinny than yours. I could tell it was coming from the engine bay however the technicians at skoda seemed clueless.

From your video it seems like the dash rather than the engine bay area. I sometimes do get a similar noise to what you're experiencing but it's only for a second usually when pulling away and it's temperature dependant I.e cold starts.
