it it has been a loony few years without a Skoda but I have finally taken the plunge and ordered a new Octavia VRS 245, just awaiting delivery and itching.

its good to be back on the forum too.

This is the second DSG box I’ve had problems with. First was on a Jetta. Now it’s on a 1.2 212 Petrol Fabia. Was out this morning went to turn right no movement like the Box had locked up. I could shift through the selector but nothing happening. Managed to get a push to the side of the Road. Had a look underneath, could see a strain of droplets behind the car. Opened the bonnet and I could smell what I think was mineral oil. But couldn’t see any obvious leaks. I’m thinking a Seal may have gone

Wifes car, 1.9 BXE auto, now has orange steering wheel symbol lit up. I wonder if it's low on fluid (don't laugh) then quickly discover it's not going to be that. Hey! I didn't know. I try the old lock to lock trick, it doesn't work. I check the fuse with a multi meter, seems fine. So, what else could it be before I get to the pump and what could I try within the realms of reasonable cost (to myself) ? Pump wise, where is that located? Hi all. Ok where to start. I have a 05 Octavia 1.6, I have just changed the complete clutch unit (Incl Dual Mass Flywheel) today, and replaced the Slave Cylinder with a new one, fitted everything back together and started to bleed the slave cylinder, I noticed that it started to leak from the pipe connection fitting that fits into the slave cylinder, now every time I press the clutch pedal (to bleed the clutch), fluid leaks from this joint. I have also changed the oring and the hood on top, but

I love my 2020 (MkIII facelift) Scout (combi/ station wagon), but the lighting in the cargo area has always been insufficient. The only built-in lights in the cargo area are two small, dim white lights, near the rear, about halfway up each sidewall: I'd appreciate ideas for adding more/better lighting to the cargo area. Ideally, integrated into the car's electric system, but battery-powered/ rechargeable standalone lights could be okay, too, as long as either way they can be installed quite
