Featured Replies

Hi There

got problem with my vRS.

olny bought that car few month ago and after a while problem started with coolant. got blown out from colant tank.i could see colant underneath tank. so got that reported to dealer who sold me the car.after they decided ther garage will fix ittook it there .aparently they changed water pump as well tested cylinder head ,and apparently its ok, so changed head gasket. and what they said its all good .pick car up done 200 miles, and today try to start car and light came on of low Coolant level.

any ideas what can be the problem is that might be Air Lock in cooling system ? or semething to look furher in engine.

Tkanks

@Jack84 - Well it could be any number of things: what it most certainly is is a warranty issue.

Jack, have you found the cause yet?

I would give them a chance to topup the system.

From the forum it seems this VAG engine is quite difficult to remove the air from the coolant system & it requires some time to settle.

Get them to top it up again, give it another few hundred kms & if it drops again get them to investigate further...

Have toped coolant up.run it about 400km now and looks promising.

What I did is hoped it up on cold engine .and before starting got all a.c. on full blast and drive for about 1h like that.seems to work. As been driving  and seems to be ok.Will post again soon if anything changes.

Unfortunately  engine still shakes  when idle.  On tragic lights etc.
