Karoq WLTP Data

Featured Replies

I ordered my Karoq (2 litre DSG Edition) on 7 July 2018; delivery expected mid December.  Car delivered to dealer in December.  Now sits at dealers awaiting WLTP Paperwork

before it can be registered at DVLA>

Here we are nearly 2 months down the line and I still have not got my car; Dealer and Skoda UK are as much in the dark as me.  They cannot give me a date for the WLTP Data.

I note that I cannot Specify a 2 litre DSG engine now.

Has anyone got any info about the likelihood of this particular model being wltp cleared?

I've only waited this long because it would be my 5th Skoda and I like the Brand but it looks like they may lose me to a Competitor

Any advice/help would be appreciated.

Can't offer any advice but there was a similar problem with VW Californias just over a year ago. They were held back at the dealers because, I believe, that VW had not got the correct emissions data for tax classification.

Petrol or diesel? I'm assuming petrol.

The 2.0 TSI 190PS engine was very recently WLTP approved in the Kodiaq.

If the Karoq isn't, then it shouldn't be far away.

Thanks for the reply - I realised I hadn't said it was the Diesel model and can't find how to edit my posts.

Does one get the 2.0 TSI in the Karoq? I dont think so.

And the Kodiaq 2.0 TSI is no yet on the ADAC list, are you sure its approved?

@Dendmar

Have you seen the car you ordered and that was delivered to Dealership in the UK in December?

& what exactly is it you ordered from the factory and when was the order placed?

Who @ Skoda UK is it that knows no more than the Dealership staff do?

Hi Skoffski,

Yes I have actually sat in vehicle at dealers at the beginning of December 2018; as in my first post above, it was a diesel 2 litre, 150 HP DSG ordered on 7 July 2018.

Skoda Customer Service have no idea when it will be WLTP cleared - they have been telling me it will be in 2 weeks, every 2 weeks since beginning December 2018.

I have now said that unless I have the vehicle by 1 March 2019, the order is cancelled - a shame as I really like the Karoq.

I seem to think that I recently read that someone with a 2.0 tdi Golf Estate was in the same situation (on one of the car sites). He had been waiting since October.

Have VW been fiddling again

I'm in a similar situation, mine is held in the dock at I presume Sheerness. I had a call from my dealer yesterday he says that he has been told the WLTP paperwork for the 2.0 ltr Diesel DSG has now been sent through to Skoda and unless there is some problems with the paperwork the certificate should be released in the next couple of days/weeks.

I wonder if there is any likelihood of any repercussions for pre-WLTP 2.0 ltr Diesel DSG engines, or would it be a case of that's the way they were built then, and this is the way they are built now?  I wouldn't like the thought of pre-WLTP vehicles being fettled just to bring them up to post-WLTP standard, whatever that might entail.

There are a few people on the Kodiaq group on Facebook that have been told their 2.0 TSI cars are on their way, with some now already in the UK.

I hadn't realised Skoda were allowing non-approved vehicles to leave the banking areas.

Skoda UK 'the importer only'  is maybe passing money their way and they are 'bunkered' in the UK ready for release ASAP after Certificated and reducing any risk of Delivery Delays into the UK if it gets a bot BREXIT Hectic.

Bunkering in the UK Climate was maybe a better plan than in a Mainland Europe Winter location.

Got the message today, the 2.0 TSI is in fact approved as of 18th.

WLTP data for the Karoq engines currently available in Germany is available on the Skoda Germany website configurator as follows:

Nothing has changed it’s just that some customers believe the bull/lies they are told by the the dealers for the last 12 months others realised they were being lied too early on,if their lips move they are lying
