Diesel clattery under load

Sorry if this is the wrong category. I have a 2014 Rapid Spaceback 1.6 CR Diesel. I've had the car a few months now and notice when the car is under load  (even cruising on the motorway at say 60mph) when I accelerate the engine makes a clattery sound. It sounds like a bag of nails being shaken in a tin. The car drives fine, but I've never had a diesel make such a racket before. I'll try get a video that captures the noise if I can.
