Stone chip repair - Northampton

Featured Replies

Hi All,

Anychance anyone knows of any places in Northampton I could get stone chip repair and Paint Swirls sorted out on my car.

There is a detailer in Northampton that comes highly recommended - Dooka that could certainly sort out the swirls, not sure about paint chips though. I've tried a couple of bodyshops in Northampton and been less than impressed (Elite and Excel) both through work and on my own cars.

At work we've recently used Cosmetic Autocare on a show car with good results and Dent Cure too

Lone Pine Garage near Olney and MW Bodyshop in Olney I've had good success with in the past - not sure whether that might be overkill for some chips though.

I've used Elite twice in the past 3 months and highly recommend them. Basically had the whole passenger side resprayed due to being keyed, front bumper and bonnet due to stone chips and rear bumper due to accident. I've tried and tried to work out where the blends are and can't tell.....and I'm a bit of a perfectionist! Also used Revive a couple of times who are very good for small areas\polishing.

There's a very good place in Kettering:

If I still lived in Nortants I'd have helped you out with the swirls and halos.  Have you thought about buying yourself a DAS6 Pro polisher and some pads and having a go yourself?  Youtube is great for learning and with the DAS6 you would have to be very very heavy handed and/or be the village idiot before you'd do some long term/expensive damage.
