Could anyone advise me regarding the cambelt change interval on an 55 reg Fabia VRS 1.9tdi (ASZ engine) 

Sorry I know this has probably been asked a lot but there appears to be so much conflicting info out there.

iirc, 60k or 4 years, which ever comes first

    If it hasn't been done on schedule then don't hang about, a failure is always catastrophic.

    I would have said 60,000 miles or 4 years or soon after you start to worry that it needs changing.

    Reminds of the time I bought my Vrs. Dealer advertised 'Cambelt done' - just forgot to say that it was 4 years previous!!
