Help with paper label decoding

Featured Replies

We've just got ourselves a 2016 Yeti and I've been trying to decode the paper label using this post by Pouclee back in March 2015 however some codes we have aren't in that list namely: E0A, 6FM, 7UP, and 7MM. Is there a more recent version of the paper label decode available here, or can someone tell me what these codes mean?

Also I see that on Pouclee's list 3S2 is "Black roof rails". Well we have black roof rails but no code 3S2. Is that surprising?

And, looking down the list there's other things missing too, like "QN0 = Without drawers under front seats" ... we don't have that code, but nor do we have drawers under the front seats.

The paper label is only a small subset of the full pr-code list. As an example, my '61 Octavia has almost 200 pr-codes so it would need a huge sticker ;)

For the full list, you can try asking a friendly dealer for the vehicle-specific information or try downloading it from erwin (might be a paid option).

Ta, I'm going to the dealer next week to get SmartLink enabled (which the dealer who sold me the car is going to pay for, I'm not sure they realise how much they're going to get charged yet :giggle:) so I'll ask them then.

And yes, just tried Erwin but everything I looked at seems to be chargeable.

7MM is "7MM = Emission standard EU6 plus"

Use this decoder and you should find all:  Vag Option Coded Decoder

Aha!  Thanks, that's better. With Urrell's tool the one code missing now (7UP). We appear to have:

E0A = No special edition
1D0 = Without trailer hitch
7UP = code not found :-(
8AY = Radio/navigation system
1KS = Disc brakes, rear (Geomet D)
6FM = Components with special surface appearance
1AT = Electronic stabilization program (ESP)
7MM = Emission standard EU6 plus
1N3 = Speed-related variable steering assist (Servotronic)
G06 = Front shock absorption
HW6 = Tires 225/50 R17 94W
4UP = Drivers and front passenger air bag with knee air bag and front passenger air bag deactivation
L67 = Suspension range 67 installation control only, no requirement forecast
B09 = Type approval Great Britain and NorthernIreland
3QC = 3-point seat belts, front
4X3 = Side air bag front with curtain air bag
J2D = Battery 380 A (68 Ah)
QI6 = Service indicator 30,000 km or 2 year ( variable )
8GU = Alternator 140 A
2UB = Rough-road design

ETA: Aha, and Wino's PDF has 7UP = Navigation system MIB2 Standard PQ (EU/ROW)

What started me off down this road was trying to work out whether we're meant to have hill start assist as we seem to (for gentle hills at least), but on one occasion we rolled back a bit. So looking at our list it has:

UG0 = Hill start assist: Without hill start assist/hill descent control/comfort driving assist

Which confuses me. Does this mean we've got it, but it's not enabled?!

That means it's not enabled which is why it says without ;)

It should be UG1 or UG4 if it has got HHC. Depending on the ABS module, it might be possible to activate HHC...

Is that dealer thing, or can it be done by (ahem) other means?

Other means are fine, it's just recoding the ABS module so VCDS or equivalents should be able to do it. A dealer probably won't be interested.

It'll just depend on which ABS pump has been fitted. Assuming it has a longitudinal sensor, it should support HHC.
