Question: "VCDS" coding about the electric net under the panoramic roof

Featured Replies

Hi,

When I Drive the "Superb" and Weather is fine, I like to open the panoramic roof and the electric net situated under the panoramic roof. When I parked and leave the Car, I close only the glass roof because I want the net to stay opened. After few hours this electric net closes alone and when I start to Drive the "Superb" againt I have to open it again. How (by "VCDS") can I stop this electric net to move itself alone but only when I push the button for it?

Thanks in Advance and Greetings from Bulgaria.

With Respect,

Miroslav Ivanov.

you can do it without vcds.

it is closing because it has sensed rain (moisture dew)

Just turn off rain closing, you will then not get the windows closing when it rains and the car is locked....rare situation.

To "superbdreams" - I am confused. Definitely the electric net closes alone in good weather too. I think something like the car going to sleep and turning off electric systems and then the electric net closes..

My guess is the car is detecting strong sunlight and high temperatures in the interior and shutting the net to reduce solar gain through the panoramic roof. Basically, the car is working to prevent the interior being like an oven when you sit into it next time. It's not a hard job to open the net when you sit in so I'm not really sure what the problem is.

Stg 4F Centralelectric II (050B0100)

Byte 2
Bit0 comfort closure panorama active - 1.
Bit2 comfort closure sun blind deactivated - 0.

This is for the car to close windows and sunroof when open and it starts to rain.

Yes, and it also closes sunroof blind after a set period. Turning off rain closing stops the blind closing overnight, so if you rely on the windows or sunroof closing when it rains you have to put up with the blind closing overnight, unless you have VCDS.

Is this feature still available on Skoda Models ?, I have a Octavia 245 with the sunroof and I too would like auto close when raining.  The feature as showing on a VCDS but it will not activate, I had heard it had been removed due the possibility it could harm a young child/person getting stuck if the roof closed on them.  It was classed as a safety hazard.  I'm sure it was mentioned quite a while ago in a different thread.

Yes still available. My superb closes all windows and the panoramic roof, if it starts to rain, but you have to enable option in mdf as "rain-closing".

To "26DIPP" - The electric net stop closing alone. That is wonderful. Thank you very much. Greetings from Bulgaria :)

But be aware, that you have also stopped the function that your roof or windows will close automatic, if you have forgot them, and it starts raining :)

Aha, or maybe i misunderstand. If i code like you described, it will still close the panoramic roof when it detects rain, but not the blind ?

To "mikkelvitus" - I think that the coding from the colleague "26DIPP" will stop only the electric sun blind net. There are different codings for the electric panorama and for the electric sun blind net..

Bit 0 comfort closure panorama active - 1.
Bit 2 comfort closure sun blind deactivated - 0.

With this coding my rain closure still works, as does window closure either single or all via key fob, BUT with the comfort closure my sun blind stays in the position I want it to be.

But what about the "sun" closing of the blind ?

As I'm informed, the blind under the panoramic roof, also closes automatic, if it gets to hot in the cabin, to shield the cabin from further sunlight exposure ?

To "mikkelvitus" - In my opinion - comfort closing is different option from rain closing. I am not sure but may be there is no rain closing for sun blind net. I do not know if the estates have the option with Sun protection, something like the Solar Sun Roof..

I do not know whether there is a sunblind comfort closing for hot weather. I used to use the comfort key fob closure and mirror flip and found it annoying that the sunblind always closed too. My sunblind has never closed in hot weather as far as I know even before I coded the sunblind closure out. Maybe we just did not have a weather hot enough.
