  • Well I bought it today - the last 190 DSG 4x4 left in the UK stock I believe, so should be here next week   Given its the current model and from stock, I had no choice on options so it will

  • Lets be honest, even if you did opt for the AWD, after a few years of the 'Simply Clever' Skoda servicing regime the Haldex will be broken and you will be back to 2WD again.

i had a sportline 220 for 3 months and traded it in. An ex demo 272 came up at the dealer when i went in for a service. Best decision i ever made. No more wheel spin in the wet😀

Given its the current model and from stock, I had no choice on options so it will have:

  • Supernovas
  • Heated front & rear seats
  • Heated screen
  • Rear wiper
  • Heated nozzles
  • Towbar prep

........in DRAGON GREEN....... my wife hates the colour but who cares :D

Love it my favourite Skoda colour at the moment. Would have loved it on my Octavia, slightly jealous (at least I'm honest).

thanks - I guess its probably one of THE most marmite colours about right now. My wife hates it but I loved it from the first one I ever saw. In the same way I just cannot stand Meteor Grey and could never own a car in that colour, but so many love it. If we were all the same of course!

Sportline is BY FAR the best trim for any Skoda, I actually cant understand people buying anything else.

By the way congrats on a beautiful car!

Love the colour but not brave enough to OWN it myself (no problem if it’s a PCP / PCH though)

Depends what you want, although I love the SportLine seats I wanted ventilated seats (and glad I picked them).

There is is nothing else that cannot be retro-fitted if you want it bad enough, for me (who likes my toys) the SportLine simply wasn’t a high enough spec.

If you go for new Superb Scout, can also choose tangerine orange

But what it doesn’t have you can add when ordering one right? Or is it different in the UK?

True you can, but then for an L&K specced SportLine would be a few grand dearer than the L&K.

It all comes down to what you find more important.

Mine is actually a Sportline Plus base so has the bits I wanted like the larger screen Columbus, electric boot, heated seats etc. Really looking forward to its arrival.

How very rude :D

TBH I now deeply regret buying Meteor Grey.  It's a free colour now and I've seen 6 MG Sportlines in the last week, I even had one parked a few spaces away in town. No doubt the default choice for leases.  I should have gone for Velvet red or that Volvo V60 Polestar 🤔

Congrats on the new car. Don't forget to post some pics when you've got it.   Nice spec BTW.

thanks - I will of course, once I get it fully polished and coated of course. Dealers have promised not to touch it and give to me as it arrives from the docks!

I don't regret it, but I do see a red one kicking about and keep thinking it looks the business. My next car might be red...

But where is the leather option, a deal breaker for me?

You want the normal leather seats over the Sportline ones?

No I want the sportline ones in leather! You can get them on the Octavia vRS so why not the Superb?

The vRS seats and Sportline seats are not the same, tho they share the same leather/alcantara type I believe.

Back on topic for a moment...

Towed the caravan home after being away for the week. I can confirm that 4x4 happily let's you stomp on the accelerator and pull out of a layby into fast moving traffic fuss free 😀

Just picked up my 190TDI 4 wd replacing the same car with 2 wd that was 4 years old. The virtual cockpit is fun and the voice control seems to have been improved. But the difference between 2 and 4 wd is remarkable. No problem from a standing start and effortless cornering under power (no, not accelerating, that would just be silly!). I'm beginning to wish that I chosen the 272 petrol engine with 4 wd which would have passed everything except a petrol station. I like a big estate and the only alternative to the Superb is the E class Merc but I really don't want another mortgage at my age!

The 272/280 really aren’t bad on fuel. It’s better than my old 1.8tsi Scout but it’s relative I guess. I do less than 8k a year so I really don’t care what my mpg is 🙂

Now he tells me!☹️

My tuned Golf R running 360hp/470nm gets 31mpg...pretty reasonable, considering my Kodiaq RS only gets 35-38mpg at the moment (almost 2000km).
