Hi Guys,

 

Has my MK3 for around 2 and a half months now. I've noticed that the sound will increase till the volume meter is about half way, then if you turn it up, the meter goes higher, but the volume is still stuck at a just listenable level if that makes sense?

 

There have been occasions when it works, and the volume will go higher and it actually then sounds really good. But it's annoying me that it's playing up at the minute, and when it is, whenever there are bass frequencies, it's like it dulls all the mid and low tones to create a weird sidechain effect.

 

I've tested it on the Radio, Bluetooth and AUX, and it happens on all 3, just strange how sometimes the volume works perfectly, and other times, it wont go higher than halfway. Is it something simple I'm doing wrong or missing?

 

Would love to know if anyone else has experienced this and whether it is a simple fix or I'm doing something daft.

Think what you may be noticing is the extra boost the headunit gives at higher speed. Can't remember what speed it boosts the sound.

Yeah I have checked that setting, and turned it off so volume isn't affected by speed. It's hard to explain but it's strange as volume just wont go loud at all, it's like it has a child lock on the sound haha. But sometimes like I said, it will work just fine and volume can go loud.
