No worries, it's common with too much software & firmware.

I just read your pm, it seemed to improve the responsiveness of the head-unit, mostly when using car-play, the previous version it would occasionally get stuck in a connect/disconnect loop until i restarted both the phone and turned the car off for 10-15 mins to make the head-unit fully reboot, haven't had that issue a single time since.

Great, thanks!

Bought a Superb MK III (model year 2016) two weeks ago and the built-in Bolero (5Q0035842A) crashes / restarts every second day when playing music from SD card or when being connected to my Samsung Galaxy A5 via Android Auto.

Car dealer insists that 0245 is the latest available version.

Would it be possible to send me the latest SW if it also fits the Superb?

Are the images in the car-menu automatically adjusted to the correct model or are there model-specific releases?

Hello,

Can anyone help me with an update for my Fabia? I think IT is Bolero  MIB 2.

From today Android Auto is not working anymore...

Thank You!

I can't read the error message - I have enough trouble understanding error messages in "English".

However, have you tried another good quality usb lead?

Sorry for that.

The error message is as in the picture.

Until monday everytrhing worked fine...

I have tried everything i think, changing date and time settings, changing cable, changing phone...

I get the same error on all phones...

Reposting here as it may be more relevant to my specific issue:

Hey there,

I bought a Skoda Fabia (2015) recently and I'm very happy with it, except that I do have this touchscreen responsiveness as well (it gets better after a reboot but it's not ideal when you're in a rush).

I understand that there is a new version available for it (0253), and I've asked the approved Skoda retailer if we could arrange this software update (my car is under warranty) and I have yet to receive their answer.

Here are my questions:

- is the update definitely improving the issue?

- how safe would it be do update the system myself, should the retailer prove unresponsive as well (and providing that it is about a 100 miles from where I live)?

- would proceeding to the update myself mean that the warranty would be void?

- where can I get this specific software update file?

Many thanks!

PS: I've been told @pab567 would be the expert on this matter 🙂

If you get that same error with several phones it would suggest it is car settings.

As I understand these things - you need to check the following settings in the car:

Time: - Time settings
Time format: - Set the time format
Summer time - Switches the summer setting on/off
Automatic summer time - switch on/off the automatic daylight savings time change

Make sure the car is not in summer mode as the internal clock today would be 1 hour out in the UK, compared to UTC which is what all computer/phone/car clock internal stuff should be on regardless of where in the World you are, and the offset for timezone and daylight saving should be dealt with in the software running on top.

Unfortunately I have tried all that....

I was thinking that Android Auto or Google play services had an update overnight...

As I said, monday night I came home with Android Auto, I did nothing in the settings...

Tuesday morning when I left... Android Auto gave me that error, and nothing works...

I was thinking to remove the car battery for a few minutes... I even reset all settings from the car system..

Thank you for your advices!

- is the update definitely improving the issue? No idea.

- how safe would it be do update the system myself, should the retailer prove unresponsive as well (and providing that it is about a 100 miles from where I live)? Assuming the unit is electrically OK then it's safe.

- would proceeding to the update myself mean that the warranty would be void? Should not be void - this is an official Skoda firmware.

- where can I get this specific software update file? Check your PM

Hi @pab567

do you still happen to have a download link to this SW update, I'm having issues with android auto and I'm hoping it will resolve the issue, but I cannot find a download link.

Thanks

Model number and current SW version of your unit?

@pab567 I've attached a photo,

Thanks
