Ok well both driver and passenger seats are out and no sign of any sensor let alone this G419 sensor, could be a cheap car for sale shortly.

Sorry to be like a broken record guys but am giving this just one more try. For those who haven't seen before i have a September 2006 Skoda Octavia 1.9 diesel manual 4x4 Estate with an intermittent ESP light although it's more on than off {there are absolutely NO other dash lights at all and no other known faults} been like it for a long time and does not appear to affect the driving, but of course it's an MOT failure MOT due 21st this month and i CANNOT for the life of me locate this dam sensor it's ridiculous. Have been told it's under the driver seat  under the passenger seat under the dash i currently have the front seats out and it ain't there, had a mate round few weeks back far more clued up on cars than me ok that wouldn't be that difficult i admit but we stripped out a large part of the dash basically we cannot find it. I put it into a local ermm audi skoda specialist almost a year ago £300 and the light is still on. I am based Ilford Essex any mobile mechanics who CAN FIX THIS? Providing it's before the 21st i am happy to travel to you but please no more time wasters. Drove to an expert in Devon last year 400 mile round trip waste of time NOT HAPPY. Please be assured paying is no problem FOR RESULTS. If your a garage who does MOTs also mine is due the 21st. Hoping someone has the knowledge i need i really need to get this sorted now. Thanks Gareth.

Given nobody can locate it, have you considered trying a Skoda dealer?

They should be able to use erwin against your VIN to find exactly where it should be located...

The only video I found is for a MK5 Golf. It should be similar to the Octavia, at least it seems to match the description in the workshop manual:

As @welsh1954 has had four threads regarding this issue, it was thought best to merge them together to keep things relevant.

Hopefully it's not too disjointed but if the threads overlapped then that'll be the reason why.

Well it failed on Wednesday but fortunately nothing serious just rear brakes needed sorting retest this morning and job done. All I gotta do now is find the money for the the dam insurance can't believe how expensive that is for such an old git like me lol
