Do the P Zero's suddenly drop-off? Or something else (understeer)

Featured Replies

I used to have those on my ex's 1.0 Saxo (60bhp) I used to drive many years back.  They used to occasionally lose traction on that, and that only weighed about 900kg, if that.

So, yeah, I'm not surprised.

Although, ironically, they were so skinny (175iirc) they actually were better in the snow (the one time it did snow, back in 2010) than my Honda.

I've never been impressed with Michelin summer tyres in winter as I think they are harder than the norm. About 9 years ago my Zafira on Michelin PS2 tyres, switchable traction control & ESP went nowhere yet our Yaris with Conti Contact 3 tyres got up the hill by the entrance to our road relatively easily.

After that year I've run the minimum of Mud Snow tyres in winter.  Usually with separate summers and winters until 2 years ago when I swapped to Cross Climates. We now have Cross Climates on 2 of our 3 cars, only not on our daughter's 108 as Michelin don't do the size so instead that has Verdestien Snowtrac 5 tyres.
