Newish to skoda ownership

Featured Replies

Hi Guys, I've recently inherited my dads 2008 Fabia 1.2 with a whopping 35k miles on the clock. Base model with manual central locking and a Dance CD radio being my first two tasks to upgrade.

I've ordered a remote kit from Right Click for the Fabia. Previously fitted one of their kits to my 1990 MX5 and it's still working well after 5 or 6 years.

The Mrs works for a  Skoda main dealer here in North Down. She drives a newish mk3 fabia and previously a Citigo Monte Carlo.

A warm welcome to the Forum !  Sounds like you should get good deals.  How did you get on with the MX5?  Had a GT86 previously and always wonder about the 5 as a second car.

Many thanks, finally got my remote locking kit finished today. I'll update my thread in case anyone is in a similar position.

Love driving the MX5. Its used only in the summer months and brings more smiles per mile than most any other car I've owned. I drove it as a daily for a couple of years but definitely prefer it as a 2nd car. Even with the hard top, it's still not the best place to be on a January morning.

I had a 78 Celica hatchback, a 95 Celica GT, a 2000 Celica VVTI but the car I miss the most is my 88 Supra. Someday a GT86 may replace it.
