So why ask on here if people have had such (in your opinion) poor fuel economy if you are not prepared to start off with a verified figure?

Good luck with getting Skoda to do brim to brim testing for you.

Where did I say people on here have had such poor fuel economy (in my opinion)

55 litre tank and not empty but to brim it you might still get in 55 litres @ 125 pence a litre or less just now so £68.75 to fill it and you have fuel while the price is low.

do 400 miles maybe and refill, its the only way to know what economy you do get.

If the weight of a full tank is an issue then not worth the bother of bothering about MPG's.

The indicated poor MPG is likely due to the car doing regens.

It should with decent lengths of runs where the engine oil gets to an efficient temp and then go further be getting around 10 miles to a litre.

I did not say that you said it, I said that you asked it.

You did so in your first posting opening the thread:

Has anyone else had fuel consumption that bad on their Karoq?

And your point being?

The point being you're unhappy with your fuel economy. You've come on here asking for people's thoughts, they've taken time to offer their advice and you're not willing to try it.

Several owners have given their findings on the subject a couple have suggested a tank fill which I have chosen not to do as is my choice instead preferring to take on board comments for now such as:

suzuka96  Ours is about the same at the moment.  Hoping as everything loosens up it will improve.

That is all I wanted to know - I hope not acting on your advice hasn`t upset you too much.

I was answering your question not making a point.

However its a good question to ask of your good self.

"I don`t get the 20 mph average speed"

Well, even without knowing your route, I can understand that this means that you covered 20 miles in 1 hour (allowing for time spent in traffic queues). It's total trip mileage divided by total trip time.

Our car is now up to 2000 miles yay and we are starting to hover about 38-40mpg overall which is including a few short runs and commute of 6-7 miles each way.  That’s already  5mpg better than Our 1.5dci quashqai So we are relatively happy.
