Fitting auto headlights

Featured Replies

I have a mk2 fl octavia with auto wipers and auto rear view mirror, I think I have the sensors needed and I've bought a auto switch and installed it. I've been all through vcds and the internet and cant find how to enable it, I dont have the maxi-dot display either.

I feel like I'm just missing something to make it all work in theory It should. What am I missing?

Post an autoscan.

Did you check all 10 wires were present when you changed the switches?

I haven't I'm going to check in the next 30 mins or so, I was wondering if I could just code it and see if it works to begin with without cutting the loom open as the sleeve is snug to the connector

Just had a look there's 10 cables in the loomScan-TMBBK21Z5A2080879-20200210-1657.txt And here's the auto scan

Could you get another scan with the ignition on? The bcm wasn't responding in that scan 🙂

That was my fault i did a CAN only scan, hopefully this ones better I did get a no ROD file on this scan though, and in all honesty I don't have much of a clue how to use VCDS so hopefully this is right now Log-TMBBK21Z5A2080879-61351.txt

Under HVAC long coding there is, function light dimming via light sensor that i've just found and it's off, would it be worth me trying to turn this on?

Nope.

Try byte 17, bit 4 in the BCM (address 09).

Thank you this is exactly what i was looking for, only issue is after hitting Do It! if i go back into the long coder it's unchecked again. Sorry for being a pain and thank you for the help.

You should just click the checkbox, click the X in the top right to close the coding window and then click 'Do it'.

If that's not working, it might be worth asking ross-tech for advice assuming your VCDS lead is genuine...
