Hi all from Wellington, New Zealand.

 

I'll be joining the Skoda family soon, I've placed an order on a 2020 Skoda Superb Sportline Wagon - 200kW in Business Grey with the black 19" Vega wheels. As its a factory order I'm going to be waiting awhile, 3-4 months at best 5 months at worst.

 

I'm coming from a VW Golf R32 so not too unfamiliar being in the VAG family, upgrading size as our 2.5 year old daughter is taking up ever more room in the car that we can't fit things in the boot of the R32.

 

I happened across this forum after Googling what coding I might be able to do with VCDS, as I have the older Ross Tech HEX-USB+CAN cable, looks like I'll need to upgrade to HEX-NET or HEX-v2 for the Skoda

 

Anyway, looking forward to receiving it.

I went the other way, kids have left home, so no need for my previous Superb, or Octavia Estate.  Traded the Octavia in for a 7.5 Golf GTI.  Not enough room in the back now for passengers - yi-harrr!!

Well, the car is finally at the dealership now. 7 whole months after ordering, special thanks to Covid for ****ing everything up.

 

Going to the detailers tomorrow, so hopefully I'll get it tomorrow or Friday depending on how long the ceramic coating needs to cure.

Not bad, life is mostly normal with respect to the global pandemic going on 👍🏻

I can remember when some downtown pavements were roped-off at intersections to stop pedestrians being blown into the traffic! At least smog wasn't too much of a problem.
