Lot of indicators and error messages in VCDS after dashboard change

I have a 2005 Skoda Octavia.

I have had a lot of strange problems in past with my car's electronics and dashboard. A few weeks ago my dashboard died out completely (a few days before that, an engine fault indicator had turned on, but I had not had time to connect VCDS and see what the problem was).

The car did not turn on at all, took it to the repairs, where they diagnosed that the dashboard had died. They managed to find a replacement dashboard (from an out-of-use car) and install it. 

I was not there when they did all this, but they said that when they installed the new dashboard, a whole array of indicators started showing and they had to re-configure a lot of things in order to fix things up (I suppose it's normal when the dashboard gets changed?)

Anyway, apparently they got rid of most of the problems. However, the immobilizer did accept the new dashboard and they turned it off (is this a normal thing to do in such kind of a situation? - I am asking because I am not 100% sure how trustworthy this car repair shop is - but I did not have many alternatives, since they are one of the few companies that do such electronics repair works here).

I paid and drove away from the car repair shop. Few kilometers later, the engine light turned on. I turned back and asked them about this. They connected the VCDS cable and found the following:

They said that it might be a faulty sensor and recommended replacing the sensor. I was not entirely satisfied with this answer (seemed suspicious that this problem would come up at the same time that the dashboard got changed), but since it did not seem to be connected with the dashboard module in any way, they cleared the error codes and I drove away.

A few days later, it came back. I connected VCDS and found that new errors had added to the list:

Also, the intake air sensor mistake was also back. Now I got even more suspicious. Why are all these errors showing up in such a short time span? 

Since this did not seem critical at the moment, I cleared the error codes and decided to see if they come back. A few days passed and the engine fault indicator came back on.

This time, there were all the previous errors, plus one more:

Now I decided to go for an auto-scan to get all existing faults. I turned out that there are quite a lot of different errors (auto-scan is attached). Notice that there are no engine faults, since I cleared them once more.

I cannot be certain which of the errors came after changing the dashboard, since I had never done an auto-scan on this car before (I just got the VCDS cable). I only know that two faults existed before: steering assist indicator had always been on for many years (I had this checked in a few different places and they all said that everything is OK with steering and that it is only a faulty indicator); also, I knew that there was some problem with the heater element. But all of the other mistakes came to me as a bad surprise (for example, 00229 - Refrigerant Pressure and 00562 - Sensor for Oil Level/Temperature (G266)).

Another thing is that the screen wiper indicator is now always on. I was out of screen wiper solution when the problems started, added screen wiper (to the brink) after the car got fixed, but the light won't turn off. Can it be related to the dashboard change? Can I check/fix this via VCDS?

So, my question is:

Can these engine/other problems be connected to the dashboard change? Can I do something about them via VCDS or should I just go to a car repair shop? Can I investigate some of these problems myself or should I let a professional have the first look?
