Umbrella Holder

Featured Replies

Hi Simon

That's excellant.  I see that is a LHD but it seems that they fit either seat. As soon as the dealers come back to work I will see if I can order the parts.  Any idea what 1000P is in pounds?

thank you very much

Simon

A thought will this fit over the canton Amp? If not I imagine it would fit under the driver's seat instead?

Note other required components listed here:

https://www.drive2.com/l/496517187066921159/

N90698606 — self-tapping screw (4 pieces needed)
N0154672 — insert nut (4 pieces needed)
5E0 881 197 B 9B9 — the plastic "shelf" itself (number for black)
5E0 881 646 B — a metal bracket that is screwed to the seat, a shelf is inserted into it

Does the metal bracket come as a set surprisingly, there is 1 either side

'Bracket' for the umbrella holder appears to be more like a frame, only one needed as far as I can see - look at the photo on that Russian site I linked to. No idea if they will fit over Canton though. I have grey plastic boxes under both seats, passenger side is vented - presumably Canton amp under there - but no idea what the driver side is. Just a spacer/blank to provide some symmetry perhaps?

I've just tried a couple of storage drawers I have from some Audi A6 seats, they would physically fit under my Octavia seats but the mounting points don't line up.

It does look like the vest storage should fit the electric seats/canton combination, based on the picture on Skoda's website below. Need to do a bit more research on parts, then may order some bits to try.

Thanks for the Photo Simon.  This might be as simple as Skoda simply reverses things for the RHD model leaving the Hi-Vis holder on the now passenger seat to allow clearance for the Canton Amp and put the brolly holder under the now drivers seat which would then be the same configuration as a LHD model as they obviously can't swap over the Amp position.  It will be great if and when I can get to a dealer to check with a parts guy, or hope that someone on this site has an L&K which should have the Canton Sound system and confirm or otherwise the above. Have to be patient for now I think.

Just recording a couple of part numbers here for later reference, otherwise I'll inevitably lose them

5E0 881 507B 9B9 - Octavia Hi vis vest holder

8K0 882 601 C - Audi box that might fit electric seats

My Wife has an Octavia SE L so I took the umbrella holder out of that to see if it would fit the electric seats in the L&K. It doesn't. So I am a bit wiser at least.

For knowledge, if its not already sorted out: (but my car is a LHD).

I have electric front seats, the Canton system AND the umbrella-holder on the passenger side and the hi-vis vest-holder on drivers side.

Hello to you in Sweden

Thanks for taking the trouble to post this. Unfortunately I still am no nearer finding out how a RHD car is fitted out. Hopefully someone wih a RHD L&K with twin electric seats and the Canton sound system will be able to tell me the way and where the umbrella is fited?

I've installed an Audi Q3/Q5 box (8K0 882 601 C)  today on my vRS electric seat with canton. Fits into the base with 2 keyed slots and 2 speednuts/bolts required. I think this is probably the best compromise, it'll hold the umbrella or a couple of adult high-vis vests for continental trips, so suits my requirements.

It fits well as long as you have the seat base tilted back a little. For reference, my seat is adjusted all the way back, as low as possible and seat base pitched back in the photos shown below. It would physically fit and still open with no tilt, but would just brush the carpet at the sides - so with an amp needing some airflow, probably not advisable if you are short!

The genuine part is fairly expensive new and not that common on ebay. There are loads of copies(?) on Aliexpress though, under the Asian market part number 8KD 882 601. I've put this used box on my driver seat and have ordered one of the 8KD parts from China now, to fit to the passenger side.

Hey Simon

Thanks for this brilliant info and the great pictures.  I will have a look at the Ali express parts and see where we go from there.  The dealer who supplied the car has just been able to send me the new mats that should have been with the car to replace the dirty second hand ones they tried to palm me off with. An umbrella was also supplied which now curently lives in the door bin.

Thanks again

Ian
