When I was shopping for my Superb, I was particularly interested in an estate L&K. Thankfully I found one, so this post already starts with a happy ending!

 

But while I was shopping, I found dozens of cars that were described as Elegance with L&K luxury pack. And I could never find what it meant by luxury pack.

 

The closest I got (on here) is that L&K cars start out as Elegance, then get the luxury pack added. Which is fair enough, from a manufacturing point of view that makes sense. 

 

The cars I was seeing though, had no sign of any L&K 'pack'. For my car, I have signatures on the wings, inlays in the seats, plates on the doors, even the sills refer to L&K. None of this appear in the 'Elegance L&K pack' cars that I was seeing. 

 

Was there a car that was listed as an Elegance + L&K pack, but doesn't have the expected livery? If so, what was the contents of the L&K pack if you don't get the seats, dash, steering wheel, etc. 

 

I've put this in the mark 2 section because I was primarily looking at mark 2 cars. Maybe this 'pack' thing applied to the mark 1?

Not really, that's where I started. It doesn't say what is in the 'pack', it just talks about Elegance and L&K.

 Yep, did that one too, and the search engine! It's pretty much the same as what I was seeing on Auto Trader, Ebay, Gumtree etc. Lots of references to L&K, but no real confirmation whether an Elegance + L&K is a real thing, and if it does what it includes.

 

The threads do cover one theory that Elegance + luxury pack = L&K (from Skoda Ireland), but that doesn't tie in with the cars that are advertised as Elegance + L&K, and show no sign of actual L&K kit.

 

 

A proper L & K should have embossed leather seats as well as Laurent & Klement badges on the front wings.

If you look at my 2nd post it shows what you got adding the L&K Lux pack on a 2011 Elegance

Ah ok, now I follow. That means the Elegance + L&K packs that I've been seeing for sale are definitely wrongly labelled. Many thanks for sticking with this one, I genuinely couldn't see the wood for the trees.

Its from Skodas website they dont save the old pages when new prices come out

As far as I could figure it out, the L&K pack on the Elegance added in the optional extras the L&K model got, but without the trim/insignia.

I had one of the very early L&K’s in the country and although they stated chrome grille they did stop it in April 2012, as the “chrome” peeled off very easily. At that time your car was registered as an Elegance but as noted above ALL L&K’s came with the seats embossed with the L&K pattern and the front wings also had the full name of L&K on each wing. Can’t spell Lauren and Klement. 😄

Best parts of the pack for me were tv, sound system and ventilated front seats. Also nice to have most of the other items though self parking is just a gimmick. Now though self parking having had a serious motor bike accident would be very nice to have.

Being a ex-grease monkey I thought the ventilated front seats were a stupid idea just something else to go wrong.

But one of the best extras I have had in a taxi doing long shifts 

Self parking even upset my Audi A6 estate owning friend  when I used it to get into a very tight space.

Pity it doesn't get you out the space😲

Yeah, the seat embossing and wing emblems are a big clue, and they're usually missing from the 'Elegance + L&K pack' cars. Here's an example just to demonstrate what I've been seeing;

I would say the first one is not an L&K pack, mine was Elegance plus L&K pack and they came with all the L&K features noted at the top of this thread. The first advert is missing all those features. I was near Glasgow and popped into the Henry’s dealership. Their MD came out to look at mine as they were still waiting for their first one to be delivered. 
Incorrect alloy wheels and sound system as well.

My my14 l&k is registered as an elegance but is a full l&k. Has wing badges, embossed leather and piano black trim. 

As above the first one has no L&K options seats heated front screen sound system

heated rear seats is also great.
