since i put on about a delay last thursday about my auto light delay coming on on my fabia mk3 1.2tsi 110bhp 2015 model. Tonight no matter how i do the lights to come on in the dark whether its auto with the delay before my main lights come on or switch then on manually my drls stay on that cant be right surely with the main lights on for the dark

Mine stay on when my main headlights are on but are dimmer.

Yeah i have just phoned the dealers this morning and yes they do stay on as you say but dim. Do you have autolights as ever since software update mine take 1min 20secs to come on now instead of a few seconds

Mine come on immediately when conditions are right. It's a 68 plate S EL.

DRL at full brightness with no lights on. DRL then dip to 50% as side lights. DRL stay 50% as side light whilst dip beam/high beam is on. … So simply clarified. DRL act as both Day Running Lights and side lights.

It also depends if you have the Projector or Reflector type of headlights.

 

The Projector headlights have LED DLR bulbs, and these do change brightness.

 

The Reflector headlights have normal DLR bulbs.

I am not sure if these change brightness when the Headlights are turned on?
