Nice 😎 and such a great vRS colour.

In Mk3's I preferred the combi and after my Race Blue's I was displeased at the colour being farmed out before the vRS was even released to all specs, it lost it's signature status to me that way and it's so common now it's unreal, not like it used to be. Rallye Green I really like so it's a win win, passed on a couple of Tippex ones as I couldn't bring myself to do it. This one came up at a great price with low miles so had to be done before the local traders scooped it up and bumped price way up.

Rallye Green is always a head turner for me, particularly when the Sun's out.  vRs's should have bold colours.

I waved at the only other Sprint Yellow vRS around (MkII FL) the other day, forgetting she won't know who I am any more 🙄  Now I'm obviously just some weird git in a grey Golf.

very nice

I still hanker after the W7 KPR in my avatar  ( I don't actually own it the photo is from the DVLA website "preview" ) but £400 is a stretch to justify to SWMBO

rallye green is the best mk3 vrs colour imo

race blue for a mk2, though the candy white does look tidy when its kept clean

*edit: candy white is for facelift mk2 i should be more specific...

i agree about race blue losing the special status with mk3 when a 1.6tdi could also get it...

I have the same pic with N1 FUB on it saved off the DVLA site over 5 years ago and finally took the plunge. You have to follow suit now, just tell the boss someone on the internet told you to!

I do like that green on a VRS.

I'm a blue car guy, but the green is very striking, noice!

Mk2 Octy vRS PFL/FL I am a race blue metallic fan and anthracite as a close second, never liked Rallye Green all that much on them, didn't suit the very flat sided shape to me. Mk3 specifically in combi I really do like the Rallye Green a lot. :D

The yellow's  a great colour but I think it suits a small car (like the Mk 1 Fabia vRS) a lot better.

Would have been interesting to see an Octavia vRS (of whatever mark) in the Dragon Green from the Superb.

its weird isnt it, how colours can be brilliant and not look right.

i recall someone respraying a mk1 octy in "mk2 Race Blue" and it didnt look right.

yellow on a FL mk2 octy vrs is nice but not quite right.

the rare yellow mk1 vrs though.. looks brilliant if its been maintained well.

i love the mk3 rallye green, on a mk3. it wouldnt look right on a mk2 though (imo)

Nice mods so far try not to get too carried away or I will call you Sasha 2.

hahahahaha I am nowhere near that dedicated! I am sticking with my bottom of bottom spec stereo and coding the number plate lights is about the limit of my VCDS comfort zone.

  • FUBAR changed the title to FUBAR's vRS drought has ended! - Introducing 'Slimer'

Tomorrow marks the 1 year anniversary and as such today finally having a day off I got around to the last wee bits I wanted to do and thus completing my 'To Do' list for now.

  • Reversing camera fitted (£24.98 AliExpress boot handle one rude not to)
  • Fuel filler flap actuator changed for the revised one (dealer sources part as factory one starting to fail)
  • drivers door switch pack changed (drivers window one wasn't doing auto anymore but £8.34 on AliExpress later it now is)

I don't really see the point in the camera at all, I just wanted it because it was so cheap and finishes off the AliExpress set. Before I'd just get this when putting it in reverse....

Just remembered I had to pop these on too, so done there now. Stock fresh Skoda ones replaced the manky flaky Skoda ones that were on there at wheel refurb time, those have started to turn too, so vRS ones worth a try. Now finished (maybe).
