Changli the cheapest electric car on alibaba

Featured Replies

For some reason both of those links open for about 15 seconds and then become a blank white screen, tried multiple times, refreshed etc, always the same.

The £7000 city car looks like a Honda E front with Smart backside. Pretty good IMO.

For 2 car household, that car is perfect as local runabout with 33 kWh battery. I bought my 24 kWh battery for £8800 for the exact same purpose.

thanks george,

i was going to post them too, but wanted to build the suspense :D

i dont know i didnt get notifications about this though, since im following it.

@J.R. i dont know why the links wouldnt open, shouldve gone to Jalopnik's website.

They went there and after a few seconds the screen went blank, then to add to the mystery the same thing happened on a link to another article from another website and when I looked it turned out to be another Jalopnik one!

Editted, today the first link worked, an interesting read but the second one whites out as both did yesterday, in the meantime I had already found & watched the videos yesterday.

Changli would not be allowed in Europe as no ABS I presume ?

No front brakes also, I thought 60% of braking is needed on the front as this is where one has most the available braking due to weight transfer.

For that reason I am out.  Electric Tuk Tuk though, cool.

It's a large disability buggy with a hard top. Coming to a retirement area near you!😁

if you read it fully, the way it can be registered seems to depend on jurisdiction, even by state within the US.

its treated mostly in the same class as a golf cart, but, an awful lot cheaper.

tbh it would be ideal for swmbo's commute to work, though i think i know what shed say if i tried to get her one :D

add a few more better batteries though and it could be a viable option for some.
