Fitted my New Lexus Lights

Featured Replies

Hi Guys,

I have fitted my New Lexus Style Lights onto the car and got a the Window Tints done :mw:

Getting the Twin Exhaust tomorrow So watch this space for pics tomorrow or Wednesday.

A few questions to ask if anyone has any idea's ??

I am going to get the MS-Design or Milotec front badgeless grille, is there any or much painting required and if so could a Novice like myself do it..

The Rear Badges on the Fabia is there anything under them except glue or any holes and if so could the glue be removed and the area's in mention be buffed up and hence total debaging or would it be a big job for a garage.

Later Peeps

:rofl2:

I dont understand this Lexus lights thing..........why?

Rear Fabia badge and model (e.g 1.9tdi) are just stuck on and are easy to remove. (I used fishing line and "sticky stuff remover" or WD40 will do)

I have done mine and it looks nice and clean etc.

btw I've heard nothing from H&R about the springs yet!

Hazarding a guess I would say 'Because it's there' to paraphrase someone who climbed/walked/swum/ate/whatever something.

BTW That Mer is bloody brilliant. My car should be absolutely loppy after the weather on Sunday and it's still shiny :smile-l:

Pictures dude!

dudes pics tomorrow.

I'd said that the springs manufacturers will take there time getting back but not to worry.#

So you're 100 % Sure that there is nothing but glue residue behind those badges.

What would be best to buff them up ??

Cool Rich.......and you dont get swirling because the wax is softened further with the water, and its heaps cheaper than Swissol.

I understand the 2cos its there " thing with the lights, but I still dont see the big attraction of these Lexus lights, personally from those cars that I have seen them added to, all that extra white/ clear plastic looks cheap and pants.

Now if everyone started to copy the lights form the Maserati 3200GT (i think it is) with its (now discontinued because of the US market) curved round the rear wing LED,s I could understand that.

When you're talking about removing the rear badges is it the lettering and not the main badge ie. the circular skoda badge..... if not is there anything behind the circular one ?? or same again ??

I found the attached dials for the fabia both white and red but only in Kmph...

mmmmmmmm any ideas about them would'nt they look nice :bluegrab:

In my opinion, they look awfull!

To each their own. However robbie_fabia, if you get those neon washer jet thingies we'll be down on you like a ton of bricks. :smile-l:

Much prefer the standard dials to be perfectly honest.

The round Skoda badge is stuck on in much the same way as the name badges, but it also has 2 pin holes behind it for locating purposes! Hope this helps.

The Dials Yes to be honest in hindsight are ****.

Now the Lexus lights they are lovely...If I had the money I still woudl'nt buy a lexus. I would buy a fleet of fabias mmmmmmmmmmmmm

The two little holes at the back of the badge would you think it would cost much to get them filled and that part sprayed and blended to the rest of the boot ???

Ive got a MS Design grill coming from Austria within the next couple of weeks. Best get it painted by a bodyshop though mate.

No point spending the best part of

I've only removed the "Fabia" and "1.9tdi" badges from mine. They are fixed with self adhesive thin foam stuff.

My Skoda badge will be staying in place and shown with pride though :smile-l:

Yeah Well Said it will be a few quid well spent to get it done right.

Just found a lovely front bumper that would really make a great difference to the front of the car.

Behind you 150% there -- can't believe they have ditched LED lights -- just as everyone else is getting on the bandwagon !!!

LED lights are excellent IMHO - for example, with brake lights they are on virtually instantaneously, giving you just that split second more time to react. A bit disconcerting at first, but good once you are used to them. Less of an advantage with the indicators, but.... no bulbs to change.

I've only seen them on Mercs and Beemers though - don't get many Maseratis round our way - not unless they do them with very large wheels, 4wd and a place to keep your banjo! :D

Yup very trick these LED lights -- the new A8 has them at the back and for the indicators -- the rear lights have a clever sensor that can tell when the lights are dirty -- and make them more intense !!

I think it is pretty reasonable to be honest not bad looking bumper.

Methinks thats next on the list for modding my little furby.

By the way I recently bought steel footwells for the furby instead of having the regular mats and the were originally for a Polo Mk5 but with very slight mods fit snugly and gave that racing car type look. I got the footrest and pedals from milotec but have to work out if drilling is required for the pedals so of to the garage again for me :eyecrazy:

Oh Yeah Hi to dave it is rare to find someone with the same surname :mw:

is it just me but i dont understand the whole bodykit, lexus lights, neon washer jet thing?

fair enough alloy wheels, engine mods and a few choice ICE upgrades but anything beyond that IMHO is just too much.

i dont know i must be getting old or something but i just cant stand it why spend
