Bye bye Fabia & fairwell Briskoda

Featured Replies

All,

Well its been a happy year of driving the Fabia vRS but enough is enough...I had to go back. So it's fairwell to the Fabia and hello to a BMW 130i M Sport, which i'm picking up on Saturday.

I hope everyone will be pleased to know that in the year of driving the Fabia, I've learnt to use the indicators and therefore will be taking this new skill over to my BMW.

It will also be worthy of note what I got in trade for the BMW (admittedly this was after some very hard negotiations):

Spec as in sig

12600 miles

Immaculate condition (wheels perfect etc etc)

Just because you drive a BMW you don't have to leave...........pop back in now and again....all the best

I'm sure you'll enjoy the new car, all the best. :)

Although the forum may lose a bit of interest for you now that you have a new car doesn't mean that you can't visit us from time to time.

Very good trade in price  ... amazing for a BMW dealer to (a) be taking a Skoda; and (B) giving a decent price - things are obviously changing :)

Have fun with your new car - and pop in here from time to time. :D

Aren't they

You dont have to leave the site, although you can always post " Today I got canned by another Furby " ;)

Just interested, was it a forced change, or just bored with the furby ?

Bored with the Furby. Had 2 BMs before the Furby and fancied something different, and whilst its a great little car for the money, there's a huge gulf between it and the 130i (Not just the

Great choice of car!

Wil you pop back in and post us some pics of the 130i ?

good purchase m8. i seriously conisdered one b4 i got rid of my fabia for the vex. they look really nice in the flesh and if it wasnt for the price tag(plus the dealer wasnt the best) then im pretty certain i would of had one. as people have said, stay on the forum m8, theres plenty of good banter on the site and im looking forward to your review of it. on a plus note rwd. take care with it. my vex stepped outa line a few times last night when it was a bit greasy  .

best of luck with it

Nice pic. Looks great in blue :)

1 Series is still growing on me, i do love blue cars.

Yup still come back... although i don't currently own a Skoda i'm still here (would of been a skoda owner again week ago if it wasnt for that damned family ahead of me :finger::mad: at the dealers)

Grant,

Glad you managed to get your mitts on a 130i... A top car. Where you getting it from? Damon Hill in Leamington?

A good price for the fabia - you must be pleased with that.

Will keep an eye out for you

Looking good

How do these lil things compare to the beefier 3-series?

Nice looking car..........Looks like the one you bought has Indicators.............Bonus........:D [ only kiddin'. ]

I'd imagine this car flies, as I've driven the 630i for almost 3 days straight, and that flew with the sh'tload more weight :)

That's a handsome car you have.

What a lovely looking car... should be a hoot to drive too, I'm seriously jealous.

I know Clarkson rated the R32 over the 130, but I know which one I'd prefer...

Enjoy it mate.

Any chance of some interior piccies? ;)

I agree, R32 looks duff in 5 door form, I reckon 1-series looks more sporty. BMW should have done the 3 Series front-end the same as the 1, looks far better, bet it goes like 5h1te off a shovel, isn't the mpg a bit of a shock after the furby?

Havn't calculated a tank to tank figure yet, but did a 145mile trip at the weekend averaging 72mph over the full distance with an indicated average of 34mpg. Was really pleased with that.

Enjoy the BM! Looks very nice....

Didn't go for the M3 in the end?

Nope. I had a really good look into running costs...

  • 1 month later...

Just thought I'd bump this to see how you're getting on with the 130? Really like the look of it, especially in your blue, despite disliking the 1-series when it came out.

Would love to own one of these in the future, when 2nd hand examples come within reach :)

Just wonder what practicality\comfort\noise levels are like, and how the fuel consumption's going....

Steve
