Hi Wardy,

Wow - I haven't been on Briskoda for nearly a month or so so lucky I saw this thread! The 130i is going very well although I'm starting to worry about it changing colour the amount i'm cleaning it!!

As per your questions, i'm finding it perfectly practical. However there's rarely more than 2 of us in the car. However I bought a patio set last weekend and that went in no probs with the seats down.

Actually it's worth mentioning that in comparison to the Fabia it has about the same rear seat room but with a substancially bigger boot. Considering the car is only 23cm longer than the Fab and has a 6 cylinder longitudinally mounted engine, it's pretty well packaged!

Comfort is very good although the ride can be a bit bouncy over harsh bumps. However I will be replacing the run-flats with normal tyres next time around, which I have heard make a very big difference. Other wise comfort is excellent and very good over long journeys (i.e. seats are great, climate control works a treat etc etc).

Regarding noise, it's MUCH better than the Fabia. Tyre noise is well suppressed as is wind noise. And then there's the exhaust noise...

Oh yes, and fuel consumption. I put in about 47 litres per fill up which does me between 280-300 miles. Overall average since ownership = 29mpg (calculated). Not too bad and I'm getting loads of Shell Pluspoints. In fact I just ordered a case of wine on acculmulated points. Lovely.

Overall it gets a big  from me. I love it !!

Sounds good..

One question ive got tho...

You said youve owned beemers before the furby too...

how do you compare the 130i to say a 330i or 325i msport? in terms of performance, comfort, handling etc..

considering a couple of year old 3 series coupe is about the same price as a 130.. ;)

I'd imagine this car flies' date=' as I've driven the 630i for almost 3 days straight, and that flew with the sh'tload more weight :)

That's a handsome car you have.[/quote']

Then just imagine how much a 650 flies ;):D

If we are playing BMW 6 series trumps.............

Imagine how an M6 flies ;)

Your 1 series looks great mate, nice colour.

I don't need to imagine - I borrowed one for 2 hours with no dealer co-pilot :D

i kind of like it, im sure it's great so . Not to keen on the hurse like look of it & the r32 imo is a much better proposition.

Ive owned a coupe of 325i's and I also test drove an E46 330ci. My 130i is substancially quicker than all of these. I really didnt get on with the E46 330ci - was very comfortable and solid but the driving experience didnt do it for me. A bit of a let down, that one.

Anyway, thanks to all for the (mostly positive) comments. I will attach a couple more pics taken recently.

Cheers,

Glad you're still enjoying it and the latest pics look

It deserves to be cleaned often, looks great in that colour.

Thanks for the answers to my questions, I'll continue to dream for the time being :D
