Just wondering if anyone has done any car photography and would mind sharing. Having a couple of speedlights lying around i was curious to see what i could produce. Took some shots on my wife's Mazda and then my Octy. The Mazda came out better, as it turns out Black cars are hard to photograph. I've put the images without flash in as well for comparison.

I found this quite interesting, but not everyone has a whole empty car park and perfect weather to work with.

Thats one I havent watched. Think I have watched dozens in the past 2 weeks. 

 

I snook into the local multi storey an hour before closing for my Octy shot. Security guard came over and said as long as i stayed in the corner i was in that was ok as it wasnt covered by CCTV. Sound bloke!

Me and the other half tend to visit the Bo'ness Hill climb. Here's a wee sampling of some that I took with my Nikon D3200 in September this year.

Apologies if this is off topic but a day of boredom saw me creating a compilation of all the cars I’ve owned since I started out in the late 70s. I lost the plot a bit in late 80’s but eventually got back on track with my first Skoda. Not all vehicles pictured were mine (sadly I didn’t take many photos) but they are exact colour and model I had and are pictured in the order I had them. I only owned the Kuga for a few weeks ( missed the Skodas) and had the wee rag top for 6 years as a summer toy while having the white Fabia as a daily driver. Wish I still owner the pick up!

My first and current Jaguars. Whilst the XJ is lovely the S type was surprisingly decent (and extremely cheap 😀

Hey Entername, no worries, to be honest I’m just glad someone was interested enough to look at the thread after I uploaded all the photos 😂 and yes I started driving back in 79 so have had a few motors. I really really wish I’d been smart enough to hold on to the minor pick up and the mini clubman’s are costing really strong money and of course the mk1 escort has become iconic too. Hindsight is a wonderful thing!

I tend to keep my cars for ages, so I have less of a timeline than you. I've posted it up here somewhere but damned if I can remember where. 😄
