Octavia 1.9TDI 4x4 - won't start

Featured Replies

Hi,

My Octavia ins't starting.

It was having trouble starting for a wile now, then last week it "died" just out side my house.

It has air coming to the engine, but it appears no to have fuel. I have removed the fuel lines going to the engine, and when I put the key into the ON position, no fuel. I would assume the key in the on position would prime the system and fuel would leak/squirt from the lines, but nothing.

Fuel going into the fuel filter, is the same. Key to the on position, but no fuel to the filter.

Can you help me figure this out. Is it something has simple has a fuse or relay (Hope so)?

Help!!

Cheers,

Sound like the Fuel Pump has expired and failed.

I would also take the opportunity and replace the fuel filter as well whilst you are there.

Is there a relay I can test before diving into a new pump? Filter has less then 15000 km.
